Not for any special reason Mog and not just to say that it's not me folks about whom he's talking;
But aside from that I think I do know about whom he speaks, imho Mog, this is the way the game should be played and is a big part of the reason I don't play;

That is, even to the extent of deleting cheaters.

Honestly I do not think it was worth making public BUT once Mog did I would expect everyone to at least take it lightly.

Also, we cannot expect people to play this game the way we see fit. I never expect people to not gang bang or steal resources when I am taking on another player, I only hope they do not. Assuming that is how the game should be played is silly. Chivalry can be embraced but it is not a "rule" per say.

It isn't a rule to play nice, you can do anything but exploit known bugs. However, if a player continues to play dirty with me I reserve the absolute right to attack them the same way in the next game(s) I find them in and not feel bad about it. I will feel real glee if I get to do what I explained.

TR, what did you mean, this is the way the game should be played? The way he is playing or what I said about it or what? You weren't clear to me on that.

Ultima, I kept my tongue while being attacked, but I felt that I wanted to blow off some steam and warn this fool about his future. I didn't name the jerk, of course, that would be "name-calling", wouldn't do anything for me and my enemies would jump up my ass. As they should, direct name-calling isn't allowed. I think this is a good solution. This person will never change, so I want to get my revenge for all the dirt he has dealt me. It won't happen in this game, but sometime it will!

my experience playing this game was that half a dozen of our elites had a set of rules (all a little different) and I got sick of trying to keep them happy.

Nobody has to try to keep me happy but they do have to accept tit for tat. I try to be as good as I can, but I have certainly been guilty of various infractions in my 9 years here.

It's just an eye for an eye, in my opinion.

also , you speaking up like that covers you for when ,said person, starts complaining that your victimising him .Everyone is already aware of the reason why your doing it ,and you dont have to explain yourself after the event.

Is it really fair though that Mog can use his powers of deletion against cheaters and/but we can't?

If you can document a cheater I will delete him/her. Usually I warn, but I have had to delete a couple of multis. In this case, I have warned this player more than once about exploiting bugs, so it is no idle threat.

And, yes, it is fair since I am the administrator the game designer chose. I have tried to be just and I think I have done a pretty good job. So there.

By the way, I now have a third player attacking me in this campaign. I am busy in a fight while two other players are just walking up and taking all my stuff.

I must admit , I hate having nuclear energy .
Since the Japan disaster, I realised that when the enviromental disaster/disasters really start to take hold of our fight for existance ,at least we have a fighting chance when it's us against nature , but if we have to also withstand toxic polution as well ,then it's no contest. I still see myself floating around on my little boat ,the only survivor except for a gorgeous fertile female for me to find and .....well you know whats next ...... lol.
