Welcome to Waronline.net!
Before you can take on the rest of the players in the game you must complete at least five turns of a training game. When you have done that you will understand the basic mechanics of the game and be ready to play against live opponents. A training game doesn’t need to take long to complete because you end your turn when you are ready to end it and then go directly to the next turn.
The GAME Window
The current window is called the "Game Window", as is where you make the decisions that control your kingdom. You’ll find a links to the Tech Centre where you can learn new and useful technologies for your kingdom, Income information, training information, and much more.
It is in the Game Window that you will also find the End Turn button, and the Open Map button.
The MAP Window
When you click the "Open Map" button, the Flash-based Map Window will open up displaying your kingdom.
You start the game with some troops in your castle, ready to move out and conquer the world. You also have two barracks and some towers. Roads lead out of the castle. If you take your mouse down to the bottom of the map a panel opens that allows you to refresh your map and zoom in or out. You can also move around the map by the click & drag method. Mousing over objects also gives you information about the owner and details of each object on the map.
Go ahead and open your map and move some troops. Click on a troop and you’ll see the possible places it can move shaded with gray. Click where you want the troop to go. This is the first phase of this troop’s turn
This troop can move again on this turn. Click on it again and move it further. Now it has used up the two phases of its turn.
After you’ve moved a few troops around, go back to your Game Window and End Turn. Then confirm that you want to end your turn by clicking the Confirm button that appears.
After each turn you’ll get more hints like these and you can always access any of them from a link along the bottom of the window.
Have fun learning to play and feel free to interact with other players if you have questions. Waronline has two kinds of chat rooms for players, a moderated forum and in-game mail and instant messaging between players.
