@Corflu: I don't like plans because the plans have been proven to fail multiple times. They are to easy for the mafia to manipulate and they can even be messed up by random chance. Neither way is really benificial to us, but they do help the mafia. That's why i said we shouldn't follow those plans. I think they give a sense of security to most of the other townies though so other than speaking out against them i can't stop their use even if i tried.

Gueritol does appear suspicious due to his activety and lack of posting. Neb called it on him by voting for him and Corflu soon joined. I think Neb's motivation for that was to prompt gueritol to post more and he did soon afterwards. Unfortunatly those posts did little to nothing in helping anyone to decide on him at all, but they did tell me something that i hadn't considered before. Gueritol is brand new to mafia so his posts are likely to be very cautious and barely useful at the same time. I'm guessing that's his reason for barely posting before and also because he doesn't want to die so early due to bad posts. I don't know if i'm correct on that one, but for now i'm going to assume it to be true. Only for now though.

On the other hand kong is pulling the same stunt it seems. He's active online and yet he doesn't post. i can think of no reason that kong shouldn't be posting other than trying to lurk by which is incredably frustrating to see. Kong has played at least one other mafia here before and if i remember right sage said kong messeged him before that game about playing mafia at a different site before. Therfore i think he should be experienced enough to know what he's doing in this game.

That's one reason his one post of "this is a big game" seems to only state that he was here and that he's ready to play. In Neb's last mafia kong quit because he wanted a special role if i remember that correctly too. His apparent willingness to play this one leads me to believe that he has some role other than townie whether it be mafia or some special role. There's a good chance of either case being true in my opinion. I lean towards mafia though based off of his lurking and activity so i'm going to vote for him based partially on my suspicions and partially to make him do something... anything. If he can convince me of his innocence then i'll happily change my vote, otherwise i'll stick with him unless someone else makes a big slip up later on.

I agree with that. While I'm still wary of Corflu for jumping on Neb's vote so fast, I'll be willing to put that on the back burner for a while to pressure kong. He needs to post. We can't let him sit and lurk. He knows better.

I'm voting you kong, get talking.

Also, I remember Arty Ziff now. I like the Simpsons just fine, but I don't have all the minor characters devoted to memory.

"Don't tell the others about my Roman hands, not for me, but because it would have a negative effect on the whole town" Arty Ziff, paraphrased.

What is this: Gueritol does appear suspicious due to his activety and lack of posting.???

Do I need to post everyother post so you guys hear about me.

Now ... if I'm town, mason or mafia? ... do I need to spell it out?.

What works best which each. So then let us say ... what is the best strategy for a town person, what is the best one for a mason, and what is the one for mafia?

don't have much time as I am fighting with a new machine, but the kong issue is the best I've heard so far. I'll cast my vote there for now, although his NOT participating indicates he may not of gotten that special role this game either. Still I'd rather a mislynch on a non-active player than an active 1.

I have to agree with you there a bit Geritol. Its almost damned if you do damned if you don't when it comes to posting.

Now, on to business. Please everyone look at Sanshiro. I definitely suspect him even more now and my vote proves that. (Though I do appologize for the mistype of your name.) I have definitely given the logic behind my actions, as always. I think his logic is reactionary and flawed and intended to cause disention. It is a VERY good idea to have the Detective try and investigate a known person. Trying to clear people and keeping the Detective hidden seem like two opposite goals, but by trying to make it public who will be investigated we can accomplish both goals. Also, if the person picked is Mafia, its really got to be nerve racking knowing you will be outed the next day. That leads to mistakes and helps the town.

1. mwmoss - I will more than gladly have the Detective investigate me, if only to prove your worthless 'gut feeling' or inability to understand my "reactionary" logic. However, good luck in trying to make the Detective come forward or convincing anyone to cooperate, with a plan or without it.

2. Coop also makes sense (as well as Neb). Maybe it's a style of writing they both use, however I trust Coop less than I trust Neb if only because Coop (and Sage) are sort of devil-ish foxes by trade.

3. Gueritol is definitely climbing fast on my suspect list, as much as I hate to agree with Corflu on anything (in this case Gueritol's innocence). Gueritol, you need to say something more serious and meaningful and soon, else more people... like me, will be convinced that you are just a lousy mafia member, who can't do a decent job at concealing himself from the townie's prodding.

4. My current list of suspects:
> Corflu - for making three 'mistakes' and speaking out of character,... "YEE GODS" indeed!
> Biscuit - for having spoken totally out of character and now gone rather disturbingly quiet.
> Gueritol - For being a dodgy Mexican who doesn't do himself good service with his one liner exclamation posts.
> Sage - Check the dictionary under 'Conniving', you'll see his picture therein.
> kong - perhaps the least of the mafia members but still a baddie. Should have known to post more.

5. I think Chunky is a 'No show' and should be ignored for the time being.

6. Isn't it strange that we can't blame or be suspicious of Oblivion?! It almost became a habit in this type of game

So what do I get (or you) if you all nominate me ... and you all happen to be wrong, because you all can't read the writings on the wall?

I gave my vote ... you all do what you feel is right ... but if your wrong ... well ...

Sanshiro: Just because you are not familiar with the english language is not much of a reason to suspect, but to each his own. You seem to dislike every plan there is. No plan = no success. Therefore you are still suspicious. The people you seem to back are the ones who have not posted much at all since you distrust those who have. Which does not look positive to me.

The Biscuit said he would be quiet in an earlier post. I believe he is following the same path he has in other games when he was a townie and even stated so. Acusing him over others that are even less involved to me is not right.

Gueritol has not disuaded me. I still believe with Neb on him.

Uh...Corflu, check again, you're the only one voting gueritol anymore.

And please don't try to connect yourself with me. I find it odd that you would mention that you are siding with me on this vote. You do have your own reasons, which should be enough for you to vote one way or another. Saying that you are voting WITH me, makes me think you are trying to attach yourself to an innocent townie.

tarim, my posting style hasn't changed. I try to play every game the same. It just so happened that last game, I didn't even need to step outside that style to get the town to lynch themselves. I also find it odd that you say that both you and Bud have changed styles meaning you are both innocent. Again, it seem like you are trying to attach yourself to an innocent (Bud)...

I'm convinced geuritol is innocent (for now). kong is now my prime suspect. He already has a few votes...so I'm throwing mine on there too. It takes 7 votes to lynch? 8? I'll check...

8 to lynch...I'd be #5. I'm voting kong. This should put the pressure on big time...watch who votes next!

Gueritol, can you explain how I'm "yanking info" and why that's a bad thing?

This isn't a "damned if you post, damned if you stay silent" thing. It's a "damned if you post SUSPICIOUS MATERIAL, damned if you stay silent, lots of cookies if you're a good townie" thing.

Oblivion: modkill chunky, perhaps?

This is not related to the mafia game but born out of a post here-above.

@Corflu - What I said was that your exclamation "YEE GODS" was out of character to your usual style and language. I am well familiar with this 'phrase' and others of such vehement invocation and I'm ready to prove it (… So help me G*d!)

More important and my main point here, is that I am willing to pit my English language skills- vocabulary, technique and creativity- against yours in any test, under any analysis or through any verbal skirmish. GMAT (Language skills) scores, publications, plain conversation…?

Harrumph!

Sage ... I was just teasing you!
