| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 20:59 HAHA! Inactive as usual? Hmm, I posted every single day I was alive the last 2 games :p I am taking the same stance I did in the last game. A lynch vote in the first round simply increases the odds of killing the 2 we don't want to kill. It is a straight up shot in the dark! With the odds totally in favor of the "loyalist". They basically get 2 almost guaranteed kills for free the first round! We have zero information at this point! And that doesn't count the Agent of the Crown kill.
Thats my 2 cents worth for now! |

The agent of the crown doesn't get a night kill, does he!??! Cause if so we're screwed...three kills a night against the rebels' one from lynching... |

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 21:41 Ok Sage so I mis-spoke errr typed. It is the foreign agent I was referring to, not the Agent of the Crown. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 21:46 There's too many agents.
Plus I was sorta hoping the real agent of the crown would come out and say "nah, I don't get a night kill" |

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 21:55 BA, i sure hope that superstition doesn't come true.. well, simply coz i'm on the other side of the globe from you guys.. so your day is my night. so when you guys are actively posting, i'm either at work, or sleeping. so i post the vote first before i get suspected for being inactive and get lynched.
Sage, now after posting that.. i doubt the agent of the crown would step forward.. lol
markk, ew're still waiting in the centre of town for your generator... |

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 21:59 hmm.. 2 votes for gutter already.. and he DOES seem awkwardly quiet...
as of now, i still can't put a finger on anyone in particular yet.. though i do suspect a few, it's still to early in the game to really tell. maybe the first round i'll just go with the flow as with previous game.. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 22:03 No lynch this early in the game helps the mafia, which makes me suspicious of those two that voted for no lynch.
However...I think everyone knows that no lynch helps the mafia, which makes me wonder if the mafia would actually be stupid enough to vote for no lynch.
No lynch = the loyalists getting a hit on us without us chancing killing one of them.

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 22:08 To expand:
There are 4 loyalists and one foreign agent. That's 5 enemy players out of 18.
We have a TWENTY EIGHT percent chance of randomly lynching a killer. That's a good enough chance that passing it up is criminal.
I remind you that there's 100% chance that one of US will die tonight.
Anybody voting "no lynch" despite the good odds is, in my opinion, asking to be voted for.

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 22:17 We've got a 72% chance of hitting an innocent if we vote to lynch with no information. Las Vegas would love those odds. The loyalist and the assassin get to kill two more - the mafia know who they are, and if they kill the assassin, what do they care? The assassin has 17 targets, and he doesn't care either. So, voting no lynch does not mean you are mafia, just means you want to keep the odds in our favor. I think anyone voting TO vote first round is suspicious. Mob mentality means the bad guy usually wins 3 out of 4. Again just my 2.5 cents worth. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 27 June 2006 - 22:29 Bleh...I don't think you're a loyalist anymore. But I do think you're misguided. Each mafia member is worth (in strictly mathematical terms) 3 regular citizens.
Consider it as if we were on equal teams. We have a 28% chance of killing THREE enemy troops...and a 72% chance of losing 1.
It's worth probably losing one for a chance to kill three.
But I won't argue this anymore. Maybe I'll just stop thinking and ACTUALLY vote Gutterfly.
Note: Actually voting for Gutterfly is stupid. |
