| Posted : Saturday, 5 January 2008 - 03:35 I added Coopels beautiful 25 player map, the Crossroads of the World. I think it will be a vast improvement over the current 25 player map, Island Mayhem. For one thing, it utilizes roads over the water areas to fill in the map a lot more. There's more cover for interesting defensive and offensive strategies.
Testing this one may be more difficult to arrange, but it only takes about 1 day to check maps out as we discovered on the 6 player map we checked. So, if anyone wants to help, say so and when we start it you will get a password. We did a 3 turn a day game, unranked, so all one has to do is fan out and test random features, look for wierd stuff, etc. You can quit the game after a couple of turns. Thanks in advance, all.
harold1, your duel map is interesting but I think the game can't support empty castles, they either have to be filled or the game won't start. A solution might be to make fake castles with palisades and so on... call them ruins perhaps.
There are some dead spots outside the central mountains that could use at least a single piece of cover to break up a huge killing zone, in my opinion. That is more an aesthetic choice though, not like about the castles.

Crims, I think this map would be unfair to anyone who didn't have alot of ranged... it would be best for scenarios, I think. Any other opinions?

| Posted : Saturday, 26 January 2008 - 13:39 Great map Bravo, it appears to be perfectly balanced and should provide for a very high teched defensive slugfest which I would enjoy given enough turns to play it to a descent finish.
I would though take away at least the outter palisades near the water or/and also possibly install a bridge on both sides to allow a path to get through there and also the corner stone surrounded metal might be better with at least one corner open to access it.
PS: Then again if it is in your mind just to provide a very high teched defensive slugfest, the map is fine as is.
