Here's a nine player 150x150 map:

www.geocities.com/marsgranite/ninewarlords.html ;

and here's a twelve player 150x200 map:

www.geocities.com/marsgranite/twelvekings.html

Again with both, load map68 into the map editor to view them and either a plain grass or a snow base map is needed for them.

PS:
Here's more data for an eight player 150x150 grass or snow base map:

That's a nice duel map, Coopels. I'd like to see a better name and especially a better description, though, that seems to slight a good map.

Tuarus Rex, your last map is good, many neat features, but I see that the southern castles are closer to the middle row than the upper row is to them, looks a tad unfair. It's funny, you'd think the guy in the middle castle is in bad shape since he could be hit by 8 other players but this game doesn't seem to work that way. Most players don't really want to take that castle since it IS so vulnerable, they'd rather consolidate a corner. So the center can be untouched and have a choice of who to fight unless all the other players pair off immediately. Come to think of it, all the other maps except the 25 player are even numbers of contestants.

We need to find Requiem and get you some terrains made so we can really see these maps the way you envision them.

Yeah i know the name and description is pretty bad, but i was/am rather tired so i didn't really think that hard on it. Feel free to come up with anything you like.

Yeah,
I see it now ...
I didn't look close enough when I got done with it in the wee hours.
It's no good because I tried something different with Ronin's mirror tool.

With nine player data, if I flip the last column of castles normally, the last two columns come the same with an odd effect of the first column middle castle in reverse direction;

So I tried a reverse flip with the last column to make it the same as the first column and did succeed to do that, but I see now that the middle and last column are too close.

The only remedy is to start with a territory size like 40 pixels instead of 30 so that the first castle can be placed an equal number of spaces from both borders.

PS:
Anyway I'll redo that last one to demonstrate my meaning, but I'll have to flip it normally to get it balanced and eliminate the center castle because it looks odd facing the same direction as one side and not the other.

Later though because I have some payments to make today.

No offense or anything harold, but it's a really small map for two players let alone three. In your set up you can start the game being able to shoot into the other castle. Besides a three player game is hadly fair since likely two people will gang up on the third or one guy will be left to sit while the other two fight. Once that happens it's already a 2 on 1 castle advantage when the first battle finishes.

I was sort of after this responce i was just playing around really
My idea was for a map where you have to move fast to get the resourses ,I am playing with a `round map `where each player is equally spaced from their opponents but the mines ect are in the center of the map ,so they have to rush to the center and fight for survival not just sit and wait

this one is nine player on 90x90 grass or snow:

www.geocities.com/marsgranite/savageland.html ;

this one is 12 player on 90x120 grass or snow:

www.geocities.com/marsgranite/twelvetribes.html ;

this one is 24 player on 180x120 grass or snow:

www.geocities.com/marsgranite/littlekings.html ;

View them on map68.

ok how you view these maps ? ithought you used the web based editor but they dont look right on it ? resource piles wrong graphics , no cement under castles (so cooples castles look flooded P) and no map 68 so trex maps all just have gray background?

Well yes,
you just enter map68 into the map editor for my data to get a screen and then load the data as normal and yes, the background will appear as dead earth, but you should be able to see all of the non-background features.

The data I have submitted all require either plain grass or snow base maps which I understand can be provided for them.

The editor has some old graphics in it. The castles aren't set up like that anymore. The images you see are just placeholders for the current graphics. Castles get their floors when the real map is used. TaurusRex has made anumber of maps that have no terrain to fit on now so he is using a blank map to demonstrate them so the ground is black.

Here's a larger version of the Sherwood Forest map, it's on the site with the other maps. I think this is what we actually need to see enough to make decisions. They are slow to make, I have to stitch together about 15 screenshots from the map editor at medium zoom.

web.mac.com/johnoco/iWeb/WaronlineMaps/Sherwood%20Forest%20Lg.html

TR, those are good assortment of terrain sizes.

Mog,

I realize that you cannot place the terrain in the Seun Sarr map, but the base map is available for viewing in the map editor (map 22). Perhaps that along with a basic overlay of where the castles are would be a helpful addition to your maps list for others.

Another possibility is to replace that map with a new one. Anybody care to try their hand at a 12 player map on map22?

I put a large image of The Eye Of The World 8 player map up on the map site.
