Ok, I was bored once again and decided to make a new duel map for the fun of it. I messed around until I remembered talking to a few people about how imbalanced some maps are towards the person moving first as far as resource piles go and so I made this one in an effort to limit if not eliminate that problem. Added "The Arena". I had to make some changes to it though to allow for moving in 6 directions, not 4 (some of the palisades didnt block movement).

here is a link to a new base map idea

It does not have the right colours yet

Its a 8 player map base with water so bridges can be added when the maps themselves are designed

There are 9 islands ,the center can be used for a battle ground ,reasorse center ect

go to the site map ( at bottom of page ) and open the map editor

there is a map number at the begining of each set of code posted ,type that number in the box Ie map42 ...leaving no gaps

then you will see a `data `button click on that and cut and paste the code you see in the forum (but do not leave spaces between posts

hi, I started looking to the map editor and I decided to make a 10 player map...

The map is divided in 10 regions every region is only conected to 2 other regions, they all hace the same resourses, the same barbarians, the same buildings. The passes between the regions are guarded by barbarians.

The idea is to make a map where all the players start with the same conditions and neigbours.

In general I like this map. It is fairly laid out and has enough resources and so forth.

It is a defender's dream, however. I think it would tend toward large ranged battles and a lot of walls and towers and drawbridges. I may be wrong and it would be easier to invade than it looks but I know I coud put up a good defense of any of those castles. Perhaps a secondary passage for each area, in an inaccesible location might help out?
