I think Mog noted this earlier, but 10 of the top 18 overall rated players at the time were in this one.

this game was very interesting even for outsiders(like me). I have to admit that I've watched the news every day
As a COC fan, I'm quite disappointed, cause I really think during the game they had a few good chances to win it.
But in the end the bests have won...no doubt about this!

Dang. If we could get Ice to play a few more battles, it'd be 10 of the top 16!

I think it comes down to who executed their plan the best. CoC had a great plan...that we failed to remember by about turn 20. (that would be the attack by vj and Mog on Corflu) Once we got away from it, we were done.

But...we did make it to turn 46 this time! A new record for CoC! The next match is ours, for sure.

PS - CoC may be looking for its next clan game soon...

I don't want things to get nasty about this 4 vs 5 stuff. Yes, it is interesting that BoS beat us after losing the first castle. It's less interesting when you consider that in terms of barracks, the lifeblood of troop count, CoC lost theirs faster and in larger count than Renno did.

So while it would have been pretty cool on their part if we had taken Renno, moved onto our next objective, and THEN been pushed back...the truth is that by the time Renno's castle was taken, the game was already lost. Renno wasn't dead long enough for BoS to really miss him.

Now, Ice isn't trying to be an ass, and CoC isn't trying to take away any well-deserved credit from BoS. Everybody had fun! Let's end on that note and look forward to eventual rematch.

On my end, this game sparked a really exciting interest in clan games, something that the other members of CoC will tell you I've been notoriously "eh..." about. CoC will be entering another team game soon...we just have to figure out whether it's going to be a 2 vs 2 or a 3 vs 3...and if anyone will play us.

Guys.. I was only wanting to know if this ever happened before in WOL history. Thats all..

This was the most interesting, most competitively contested clan game I have ever played in. So CoC defiantly has nothing to be ashamed of.

Calling me an ass and telling me about my ego doest answer the question.

So with all that said I hope we all do this again soon. It was the most excitement I've had sense the tick system was eliminated.

No harm intended by my post at all...I've edited it. Nothing but respect for BoS who clobbers us every time.

As far as the question goes, I don't know the answer to it. It was 4 against 6 castles and 4 against 5 players there for a few turns is all I know. As Sage said, by the time that was the case the game was prety much decided already.

Let's just all hope that this is the first time it has ever happened so Ice can sleep again.

Well.. I'm glad you guys thought it was decided. You sure had all of us on the edge.

I just thought it was a very weird situation. If anything it demonstrated just how close it was.

And yep Mog... I just woke up from a 9 hour sleep. Although my lack of sleep had more to do with that darn Sage beating me on the tick for about 4 nights in a row than your concern over my definition of the situation

Those reflexes would be the years of FPS and other action games I played before I settled down into TBS.

Look around in there for ones I took. My castle was the point one, I had 4 BoS on my borders. CoC fought them off for awhile but we made some vital mistakes along the way (it's all Neb's fault) and they got us.

Great shots, Mog. I just went through the whole album. Everything nicely captured. Just wish you had Coopel's scout rush to my castle in there. That was another great side battle that could have turned the war either way. Best clan game ever. Great plays and mistakes on both sides, but evenly matched throughout most of the game, until the cats came.

Meh, my scout rush wasn't even meant to be an attack, but a diversion. Unfortunately that double turn thing let you guys catch me and then eventually slaughter my entire army when i was away most of a day.

Coopels, I don't ever remember a double move. As I recall, we alternated quite nicely and your "diversion" was extremely scary. You almost were able to walk right into my castle...if it hadn't been for a few walls I had hastily thrown up. It was Gala's ranging units that seemed to win the day for us.

Oh you never did one, but gala did. How do you think he suddenly was in perfect range of my entire army with all of his ranged? After that i had little chance to retreat back as i had intended and obviously it didn't work.

Come on! This is good reading! With BoS and CoC gone, which clans will take up the epic battles and in-game taunting? I'm quite sure no clan rivalry like this will ever exist again, but clans should try to match the intensity of this clan game.

I agree. You guys think you're playing a strategy game right now? Ha! Nothing in this game...not a single one of my more than 400 battles, duels, and campaigns was anything approaching the intensity of an expertly fought clan game.

If you want the ultimate strategic experience, you have to look further than what you can accomplish on your own. Making tough decisions on behalf of the whole team...gauging the strengths and weaknesses of your friends...arguing over who's going to do what and when...planning maneuvers in your head as you're falling asleep at night...it's the closest you will ever get to true warfare.
