Capture That Castle!
There is another castle on the training map, filled with barbarians! You should send some troops over to deal with this problem. You may be saying “I can’t see that castle!” In this game the normal range of sight is nine hexes or spaces. Anything farther away is not shown. The other castle is on the far side of the map from your castle.


Once you have destroyed all of the barbarians in the castle you can take over the castle. Move at least one Commandeer stack into the castle. Double click on the Commandeer and a button appears on the right side of the screen titled “Take Over Castle”. It may take more than one turn to take it over entirely. Commandeers are the only troops that can take over castles and they also can repair buildings that are damaged and build new buildings. They help rally the troops and add attack strength to troops near them. They are very weak and vulnerable troops so keep them safe!

Having extra castles in Campaign games (multi player long games) allows you to have more barracks producing troops and more income each turn. You do have to wipe out whoever is in there and that is the essence of the game.
