I thank you for what I've learned Neb... It will make me a better player Last Edited : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 15:05 | Hankyspanky Joined 3/07/2004 Posts : 1602
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 15:56 Doesn't that mean it was a 8 vs 4 vs 4 vs 4? jesus now i understand why we weren't able to win. | | Nebuchadnezer DoCJoined 9/06/2005 Posts : 3017
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 15:59 lol...it was actually 8 vs. 8 vs. 4. We outlasted the first 8. We just didn't have anything left to get past the second 8. | | Hankyspanky Joined 3/07/2004 Posts : 1602
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 16:04 Can't we call it a 16 vs 4 then? i mean i think we destroyed at least 5/6 players of the first eight.
it is really bad that does guys weren't able to get one of the 4 remaining players out until turn 85. | | SIMONSAYSDIE Joined 29/11/2008 Posts : 1072
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 16:31 5/6 of the first 8? raag houdini-MIA nyxon-eliminated by TC relax-eliminated by HC/M.O.G. Pict-eliminated by TC bud-eliminated by HC/M.O.G. Klyph-elimnated by HC after weakened by neb Crazy-eliminated my HC after weakened by neb gene_ral-MIA
i believe TC managed to knock off only nyxon and pict...and neb weakened 2 more prior to laur eliminating them...
you can call it what you like... when all is said and done... i hope to call it a victory... this is our first clanwar (for our clan and as individuals)...i think we made good choices, communicated well, had patience when needed, and most importantly worked as a team... it's not over yet... but im confident we will finish strong... | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14359
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 18:22 It's been a very interesting game, all told. A lot of clever plays, good alliances and dirty tricks!
I think the latest battle may be the last big one of the game though. Now, one has about 35 turns to consolidate one's tribute positions... last I looked, Tcrock had a tiny lead in total team tribute, it may well be gone by now, but we would still be in second if this ended now. Not bad for just a team of four players, if you ask me. Plus, we still have our entire team on the map at this late stage of the game, a cause for some pride, I believe.
As regards us "throwing in the towel"... As GW so fatuously stated: "Bring them on!" www.commondreams.org/headlines03/0702-08.htm Last Edited : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 18:24 | Nebuchadnezer DoCJoined 9/06/2005 Posts : 3017
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 19:38 SIMON...you've made it quite clear in other threads of yours that you play to win, and will let nothing stop you, and you will do anything to get the win. Congratulations. | | klyph Joined 30/05/2008 Posts : 421
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 22:20 simon, neb and mog... seems like dejavu save it went a little like this; laur, pict and myself. oh well, let the losses continue. If you won then you won. I personally think that the members of tcrock have gained the most respect from me. When planning my attacks in other camps i will have a lot more to bring to the table, as far as having an idea as to what is going on, and had fun playing this camp, for the short time i was
I think i have been displaying my gain in experience in this camp quite well in the team camp that i am currently playing. I have learned a lot from that camp as well. | | vj121 Joined 9/04/2007 Posts : 114
| Posted : Thursday, 17 September 2009 - 23:36 Come on guys, everyone did well according to their own viewpoint of how this game should be played, so there is nothing to fight about.
I think it was a great game and T-CROCK won as a 'clan' while MOG/H~R/AoW/~HC won as a 'clan alliance'. (I am adding AoW/~HC since Gene_Ral joined you as an official alliance member, and T-CROCK did fight, cripple, or kill all of AoW and two members of ~HC).
T-CROCK did well in battle, MOG did well in alliances with other clans and staying out of battles until nearly mid-game. Both are winners in their own right.
Congratulations to all. | | laur Joined 9/01/2008 Posts : 320
| Posted : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 00:21 sure you can sleep well saying TCROCK vs ALL, but actualy there were some turns in the game when MOG/HR alliance were fighting everyone else and TCROCK was fighting HR only. With a better strategy TCROCK could win the game in that moment.
Also, if you look at the eliminated players you will find out that MOG/HR fought more with the other 2 clans than TCROCK.
from the fight perspective TCROCK was the best here. Too bad they were too confident wining this game and they neglect the politic part of the game.
for me, this game was the most complex game experience I've ever had...glad to be part of Last Edited : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 00:26 | SIMONSAYSDIE Joined 29/11/2008 Posts : 1072
| Posted : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 06:10 glad you were part of it too laur... ive learned more from you than anyone else... I also learned alot from watching neb...

| Posted : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 07:43 As it stands;
MOG 57745 TCROCK 55921 H^R 43610 HC 28313 AOW 20069
So as long as tcrock can just keep one castle until turn 115, i don't know if technically you would say 120 as would make more sense, they will be in second place. I don't think H^R could make up that big of a gap at this point in the game. There are only 34 turns left. I don't know what kind of situation tcrock is in but none of their team is eliminated and that makes me somewhat skeptical that they will be gone in the next 34 turns. | | Nebuchadnezer DoCJoined 9/06/2005 Posts : 3017
| Posted : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 07:53 In all honesty, I thought this was a 4 vs. 4 vs. 4 vs. 4 vs. 4 clan game. I never even considered that alliances would enter into this game. Why would they...you already started with 4 allies? Everyone was on equal footing from the start.
However, had TCROCK known this from the start, I doubt we would have formed an alliance anyway. We're all old vets, and rely on our skills in battle to win. That's not to say the other players weren't good, but I don't think we ever considered "sharing" a victory with another team. We based our strategy on what we could accomplish with the 4 players we had. Quite honestly, the other teams forming an alliance was the only way to stop us...and it worked...for one alliance at least.
Besides one major point of contention (and you all know what that is...and should all realize how it unbalanced the game play), I think this was a very well played game. Sure, I'm a little sour that it didn't work in my favor, but I think most of the players enjoyed the game. I've figured out that I'm much better off staying cooped up in my castle than trying to venture out anywhere.
I too learned plenty from and about the other players.
The most disappointing part is that this wasn't actually the "final battle"...not that anybody thought it would be. | | Nebuchadnezer DoCJoined 9/06/2005 Posts : 3017

| Posted : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 08:05 i guess 8 vs 3 could be easily handled in 34 turns | | laur Joined 9/01/2008 Posts : 320
| Posted : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 08:19 that was a nice speach neb, I was imaging you holding the microphone and rounding your nose so everybody can see it
never played a 4vs4vs4vs4vs4 clan game, and I cannot imagine one if I decide to attack one player from clan2 then one from clan3 then one from clan4....etc...all these because they are close to me which makes them easy targets....What should I expect after doing that?
as for the rest of your spech I 90% agree with you (not saying wich part I disagree ). Last Edited : Friday, 18 September 2009 - 08:26
