| Posted : Sunday, 21 October 2007 - 07:16 Sorry about missing my own deadline, but I accidentally drifted off to sleep at 11. But even with a little extension, there''s no word from Fufu, or from Padro either, so all their units will hold.
Here''s the movement:

And the results:

Italy''s unit at Mar had nowhere to retreat to, and was destroyed. No other retreating units, so we move right onto the adjustment phase. Get those orders into me quickly.
And also, Russia has now lost all of its SC''s. Better luck next time, Oblivion |

Having two inactive players completely throws off the balance of power. There''s no way the West (me, only one left) can possibly compete against an East that appears to be working together.
I''d much rather give the victory to Turkey-Italy-Austria and start a new game with players who will stick with us. |

| Posted : Sunday, 21 October 2007 - 13:00 Ha, well I guess thats a proposal to end game, giving a shared victory to Turkey-Italy-Austria.
This is sort of an unorthodox way to end the game, since typically, when a game is voted to end, all players with pieces still on the board are part of the shared victory. Or all players might concede to a single winner. But whatever, as long as everyone agrees to those terms, I don't see why not.
Since they''re obviously working as a team, I doubt they''ll object And with England and Germany inactive, I suppose this game is just about over.

| Posted : Sunday, 21 October 2007 - 15:42 The only reason I can see they wouldn''t is if one of them was planning on betraying the others in the end and getting a solo victory.
But whatever...I know if I was on their end, I wouldn''t consider any kind of victory satisfying knowing that a third of the players went inactive.
I wanna get into another game with seven good, active players. I hope I get to be France again...haha. I love France. | | Gaiyamato Joined 14/08/2007 Posts : 521

| Posted : Sunday, 21 October 2007 - 20:25 I can run the next one if you guys like.
What I''ll do is random placement again, but I''ll make sure any repeat players don''t get the same country they were in last time.

| Posted : Sunday, 21 October 2007 - 20:39 Do play again, Bio. It''ll be better with a group of veterans playing.
Gaiy...do do random placement...completely random. There are some countries I would NOT want to play as (*cough* Germany *cough*) and I don''t like the idea of it now being a one in SIX chance instead of one in seven. | | Gaiyamato Joined 14/08/2007 Posts : 521
| Posted : Sunday, 21 October 2007 - 20:56 lol. Well its only a 1-in-7 chance you will get France anyway.

| Posted : Monday, 22 October 2007 - 09:48 I don''t know. No matter how hard we try, somebody will have something come up that will delay the game. It''s happened with almost every organized game we''ve tried to set up here. 24 hr turns aren''t realistic, as people will be waiting for responses, and won''t want to move until they get them. I may pass and let others have all the fun.
Thanks - Neb | | Gutterfly Joined 19/01/2002 Posts : 1877
| Posted : Monday, 22 October 2007 - 10:27 ah, c''mon neb, you''re no fun. the game will be fine, and loads of fun. you wouldn''t want to miss out on all that fun, eh? | | Sage DoCJoined 8/11/2002 Posts : 4070
| Posted : Monday, 22 October 2007 - 10:58 Neb, you whine more about playing games than anyone I know.

| Posted : Monday, 22 October 2007 - 19:42 The 24 hour thing is a guideline. not a fixed rule. If you message me and say "still waiting on someone" I''m all good to wait. Its just there for ''inactives'' like what we had with Fufu and Padro. lol.
Basicly same deal as last round, except you probably wont be Austria and you get to swap me for Gutterfly. lol. |
