| Posted : Friday, 21 November 2003 - 16:23 ever time i join a game i get all scouts because you get two com any way so why waste the room in the barrack , when you could use the room 4 other men so you dont have to waste one round on making the men |

| Posted : Tuesday, 24 February 2004 - 12:55 Boe, I also start with 4 scouts - as was mentioned, they can take over buildings and leave the comms to repair while they go for the resource piles. It also gives me a little bit of a military edge, and if I ever do need more comms, I can assign them to a barracks with no turn penalty. Hooray.

| Posted : Monday, 1 March 2004 - 08:56 well i usually start with 1 of them all then u can train double in your barracks when you want to.. spears are good when they have over 200 troops an in army but they are worthless when they have less than that...swords are worthless unless u train over 250 anything less than that they are worthless...now scouts are good for about everything but of course building buildings when u get alot of scouts in 1 army they can do alot of damage...comms are good for only about 2 things..1..take over buildings..2..building buildings.. |

When you put a good number of them together behind your forces, theyu do increase the att/def modifiers, and count for significant losses on enemy forces. |

*on topic*
You really should get a batch of comms when first starting out. They will help you crush your opponents in various ways that I really can't divulge here. |

| Posted : Wednesday, 3 March 2004 - 07:42 I wish I can start with 10 stacks of HC, 5 of mace, 5 of knigths (to balance the thing even). A good dash of marks let's say 15, and 5 comms...to build walls on slopes and have'm rolldown to crush infidels. |

| Posted : Wednesday, 3 March 2004 - 16:28 Yep, they really suck at building walls to crush infidels...
But up against a few hundred 1 strong scout stacks and there's nothing like 'em , then again, there's nothing like a few hundred 1 strong scout stacks (thankfully), so it all balances, unless it's on a slope, in which case it'd roll down and crush something, like infidels maybe.
* stops talking about infidels *
Start with 4 swords! That's the way to go!

| Posted : Wednesday, 3 March 2004 - 23:24 prancer, a stack of 250 scouts is relatively meaningless. A couple of marksmen or ballista stacks will tear through them very quickly. |
