ok... we''ve got two questions left, so if anybody else is out there, I''m starting this as a list of things it might be... add to it if you want, I just think it might be helpful to figure out what one narrowing question we should ask before one final guess.

skis. ( are they made of plastic now, or still wood?)
a snowboard. (I guess its worn? sort of?)

I''m pretty sure ice skates are mostly leather and metal, but I could be wrong... and roller skates have moving parts...

does anybody wear plastic shoes? sandals maybe... but those are more foam like... or leather. and how could that be considered used by a profession?

there aren't any kinds of plastic pants out there, right? so now that types of guards are out... it almost has to be a type of outdoor shoe fitting... foot accessory. however you'd classify skis and the like. ( please, say something if I'm wrong, I don't want to ask this question of mog yet if there are more possibilities out there.) the belt itself has not been eliminated, but I figured, that is definitely something people use inside and outside.

Ah, the last question. Now I can tell the truth at last! It is NOT scuba fins (flippers) although you were on the right track. The correct answer is "football cleats". I looked them up and most of them are plastic with a bit of metal for the spikes.

I was actually thinking about guessing cleats of some kind, but I discarded the idea since I thought they were all metal. dern.
