| Posted : Wednesday, 3 March 2004 - 07:56 The General, Fast & Slow games (standard games) and Beginner & Ultra games are now DOUBLE TROUBLE mode.
Each player starts with 2 Castles and 1 Barracks in each Castle. The techs and incomes and costs are all still the same for now.
With 2 starting Castles, it means lots more to do in begin, and more choices to make in strategy & politics. It also means 1/2 the required players per game which means much faster starting times.
Skirmish, LMS & Clan games still use the old 1-Castle system.

As SO many people are now in clans, restricting to only one member per clan may slow things down again. However, that's REQ's decision...same as now, REQ? | Posted : Wednesday, 3 March 2004 - 15:33 Hmm. Game 15 just started for me, and I've got 4 barracks (2 in each castle). (you said that we'd have only one barracks in each castle).
Also, the starting troops (for the guy that asked) are 2 stacks of comms, 1 stack of spears, swords, scouts, and archers... PER CASTLE. So, I started with over 700 troops total.

Certainly makes the start of the game more interesting, and the idea of two castles I believe will allow a more strategic dimension to the game evolve.
