| Posted : Thursday, 12 January 2012 - 08:33 Well yes Cold_blood, I suspect everyone was set back by the problem of not being able to log into Wol, but this "script error" problem is on almost all of my sites (especially game sites that I've played recently) and it seems to be the result of one or both of the updates I mentioned above.
Also, I started answering *no* that I don't want to continue running them here, but they just keep coming. rex Last Edited : Thursday, 12 January 2012 - 08:35 | TaurusRex Joined 14/06/2002 Posts : 9462

| Posted : Friday, 13 January 2012 - 12:19 I also had a problem logging in a couple of days ago,and the site was running slow, when I got in. But FB and most other social sites was running slow on that day also. Wierd! | | RUFF RYDER Joined 5/08/2008 Posts : 315
| Posted : Saturday, 14 January 2012 - 08:24 yea some time's i get the same problem and i think your right rex it's to do with that update with adobe because ever since i updated my adobe it's been happening to me | | TaurusRex Joined 14/06/2002 Posts : 9462
| Posted : Wednesday, 18 January 2012 - 16:03 Well believe it or not, I restored previous programming and then reinstalled the adobe and the window updates a few times and at least once installed just the window update without the adobe until later ...
Anyway, the script messages were coming without the adobe installation so then I installed the adobe also thinking it might not be the culprit; However Doodoomite, I'm not so sure now that clicking *no* that I don't want to run the scripts had no consequences because I'm now generating *error messages* quite often (moreso it seems at this site than any of my others).
Problem is that if the errors are connected to the scripts, I'm not so sure the adobe or window updates will be able to fix them.
PS: Admittedly, I feel the necessity to add that I've got no idea as to *cause and effect* and you may be perfectly right Doodoomite that not running the scripts would cause no problems. This may be something that will heal itself as the programming of my computer finds misplaced files or something.

| Posted : Thursday, 19 January 2012 - 02:21 Wow this has gotten bazaar for me ... the error messages have spread to the game map for me and if I do something like build a tower or anything the screen lights up and I'm thrown into the control screen and have to crawl back to my battle scene after re-enterring the map ... in other words, it's now a handicap.

| Posted : Thursday, 19 January 2012 - 06:24 We will have to see if Ruff starts getting similar symptoms, but as of now, I've restored again to 1/05/12 and yes, I did do a full scan yesterday as a matter of fact with no issues declared by McAfee (full protection) with my computer.
Right now I'm back to answering *yes* instead of *no* that I want to run *scripts* with both the latest adobe and windows updates waiting to be installed; However, I'm going instead to try restoring to an even earlier date to see if I can dump these *script* messages.

| Posted : Thursday, 19 January 2012 - 07:06 My computer programming has been restored to 1/01/12; But however, when I did a restart, my windows auto-update allowed an update that I had not wanted to install yet ... might try it again with auto-updates turned off;
Except, so far the *script* messages aren't appearing, although I did get one *error* message already.
Again I haven't installed the adobe update yet with this latest restoration.

| Posted : Thursday, 19 January 2012 - 07:20 PS: The latest is that I just tried building a palisade and I got the same symptoms mentioned before including the dang *error* message ...
*script* messages haven't appeared yet, but again building something is causing my map screen to close into the control screen with re-openning the map to home castle ... gonna restore again with windows auto-update turned off.

| Posted : Thursday, 19 January 2012 - 08:00 Apparently, the cause of the problem I'm having has already been initiated somehow and it persists as dramatically as ever even though I did a restore without installing any updates ... with every build instruction an *error* message is generated and again my map screen goes to the control screen with reopenning the map at home castle.
Looks like the game has been spoiled for me.
PS: After reinstalling everything, I'm back to getting *script* messages and answering them *yes* instead of *no* and so far I managed to build a tower to greet Mog's HC with no *error* message and without the map screen getting changed to the control screen.
Guess I'll try to live with the *script* messages for now.

| Posted : Thursday, 19 January 2012 - 10:13 Okay, here's my final take (I hope) and advice: after installing adobe and windows updates, if/when confronted with running *script* messages, I answered *yes* to allow them instead of *no*.
Apparently the *script* message will persist until you do a restart and I suspect the *scripts* may be unique and necessary for the proper performance of the game ... might be wrong, but did a restart and *script* messages have stopped and last I know the build function worked okay ...
won't know for sure until I have occassion to build again.
PS: Nope ... still doing it.

| Posted : Thursday, 19 January 2012 - 16:14 Well at least I found a quicker way to get back to the battle (i.e. zoom out first and then mouse drag back to the scene), but it dumps me out of the map into the control screen with every use of the build function and I do a lot of building in this new version.
