Is the market place still necessary? Because I cannot trade anymore...
And are gems, stond, wood and metal only important for Tribute?

Gems, stone, wood and metal are for nothing. Don't bother with them.

The marketplace is still needed for the income techs. After that, it is useless.

Or use it to block a gap until you can afford pallisades / drawbridge techs...

Okay, thanks for all the replies. It's a pity I think.

What about mines, gemponds, mills, quarries...?

Together with castles (worth 50), they determine your score, but at the moment only at the end of the game. However, if you don't grab them early on, you may find other players grab ones that you might consider to be yours.

However, note the experience and tribute totals in the Ranking screen - at some point in the future it is likely that your score will be determined by some combination of these at the end of the game Req wants to encourage people to fight (hence the exp counting), whilst encouraging them to fight over something (hence the tribute total counting).

yes, the idea is a combined score.

your total accumulated Tribute (so getting them early counts), your total EXP gained, and Economy (in WoK).

The combined ranks give the final rank for the game.

Of course here, if I do it, it would just be Tribute+Exp combined. eg
1st Tribute + 5th Exp = 6. overall 3rd
2nd Tribute + 3rd Exp = 5. overall 2nd
3rd Tribute + 1st Exp = 4. overall 1st

So player A that ranked 2nd tribute and 2nd exp would be joint 1st place with player B that came 1st tribute, 3rd exp and player C (3rd tribute, 1st exp)?

Or will there be some "goal difference" way of distinguishing between them?

I would say they are equally ranked.

and how soon will this start?
i.e., there are 85 turns left in my current 1 turn/day camp. Should I capture those useless resource buildinga now or later?

Interesting, thanks!
And how is the "Score" actually calculated?

While we are on this subject I dont think that eliminated players should go under players still playing.
for example if a player hasnt fought and is sitting back in a corner and finishes above a player that fought hard early but has large experience and finished with higher experience that the passive player(does this make sence).
The passive player ranks higher because he lasted longer hiding under his/her rock.

"Should I capture those useless resource buildinga now or later?"

Now, by the looks of it.

Princess - that's exactly how Req has done the new scoring system. Only problem is ability to "quit while you're ahead" when there are only 2 players left.

oh and if you quit in the 2 player left scenario as the lone last player you can kill off all of his (now unknown)troops and get the whole map and then gain that experience and maybee finish above him

if a person is so far ahead they can quit and still win... then they obviously earned their way to be in that position... they deserve the win...its like early retirement...if you earned it...you deserve it!
