The new troop deployment system is now active.
Here's how it works...

- Each Barracks earns +50 POINTS per turn.
- Training techs add +10 Points for each tech (to a MAX of +80)
- Damaged Barracks earn less points (eg, 50% health means only +25 Points + techs).
- Each Barracks can store up to 800 Points max.

- Deploying an Army is simply a matter of clicking on the Barracks and choosing what army type to deploy. EVERY army deployed is has 10 troops in it. You cannot select how many troops are in an army.
- Each Army you wish to deploy costs POINTS, and can only be deployed if the Barracks has enough points, and of course you have the resources for the full 10 troops.
- To gain access to better troops, you can purchase the Tech for any troop for that Barracks via the Upgrades page.

PS. you can see the POINTS of each troop in the Online Manual. Go to any class, and check their EXP value.
EXP = Points / 10.

to put your minds at ease, I have also re-imbursed all the Melee/Ranged/Seige techs that have been previously purchased (so you havent lost any income).
You can then use those resources to purchase the exact troop tech you wanted to use.

secondly, I have also credited every Barracks with Points equivalent to how many READY troops the Barracks previously had.
eg, if you had 10 Spearmen READY, then you got 50 points credited (the cost of a full 10pop Spearmen army).
if you had 2 Marksmen ready, you've been credited with 64points (the cost of 10 Marks = 320 so 2 Marks = 64).

THIS SUCKS

I HAVE 2 CASTLES under siege 90% take over and under min. gaurd now my enimies get to drop 10 troops in each barrks

all my brrks have to be upgraded

what the hell am i supposed to do with 100 comm's

I like the changes too neb.

My only concerns are about how this will affect ongoing games....cause suddenly instead of seiging , let's say, 2x3barracks(6 scouts) you will fight against 3x10....30 scouts or spears....lol

and that's because the grow rate is almost 5 time faster now and the already deployed troops has not been upgraded to this x5 growing rate.

You can also deploy a stack of comms and build a barracks immediately with them... expect to see castles with 10 barracks around them!

I notice that a comm I moved got to repair a barracks and still have a phase of the turn left.

Hmm....

Does this means I can straight away go for the higher level troop?

Is there a list to show which troop needs what point to come out of the barrack?

So how exactly do you get reimbursed for the upgrades that have been taken away? I didn't see any in the camps i have going.

You already have Nyxon.

All Barracks have Points that are equivalent to what your Barracks had in the old system.

All you need to do is research the Upgrade tech for the troop you wanted for that Barracks and then go deploy. Of course it deploys 10 troops now, so you need the resources to pay for them.

I see. I understand the new system points ect.

I was actually getting at the gold and materials i spent upgrading under the 'old' system. Those troop upgrades are no longer present, nor are the gold & materials I spent upgrading them.

Well, the training buffs ARE present, but not the specific troop upgrades.

All the costs of the Advanced Melee, etc techs should have been re-imbursed. I ran some tests and it showed that it should have worked. Are you sure you didnt get any resources back for these? Are these the techs you are talking about?

training techs havent changed.

only the Melee/Ranged/Seige techs, which have been removed, were re-imbursed. considering the low cost of these, you may not have noticed the extra resources.

i can run the same script again tomorrow, but when I run it if it shows you end up with the resources twice, i will have to delete your resources.

so please make sure you didnt get any extra resources before requesting i run it again for you.

I had very little resources not to notice them, especially gold.

But yes, the melee/ranged/siege techs are gone and i have no resources to retrain them. (i had a bunch)

Not trying to sweat you about it, just communicate. Ultimately there is always going to be some bumps in the road when a major change goes through like this, applied to ongoing and open games. I understand that.
