| Posted : Friday, 16 November 2007 - 02:39 i didn't send in any of my moves, i was ready to but decided against it when i wanted to talk to another player. checked my sent and i haven't sent gai any of my moves since the first turn over a week ago. i'm wondering where these orders came from as well or if i will still be allowed to make my own
if all is as it seems then what purpose is there in my playing if rules are bent to accommodate me, it can hardly say it is fair to others after all. Last Edited : Friday, 16 November 2007 - 02:43 | Biscuit Joined 15/09/2003 Posts : 1893

| Posted : Friday, 16 November 2007 - 15:46 Gaiy, you can't let someone's allies make their moves for them...especially when someone's allies aren't actually looking out for the other person's best interests. | | Nebuchadnezer DoCJoined 9/06/2005 Posts : 3017
| Posted : Friday, 16 November 2007 - 18:01 True, but how long do we have to wait to make moves? There has to be a reasonable limit to how long we have, no? Or shall we simply wait for months before we get everyone's order? | | Oblivion Joined 14/01/2006 Posts : 991

| Posted : Saturday, 17 November 2007 - 00:09 The ame thing happened to me....im pretty sure Gai just went with the best available defensive startegy, and did that for the players who missed out on getting in their moves. | | Sage DoCJoined 8/11/2002 Posts : 4070
| Posted : Saturday, 17 November 2007 - 01:46 The real question: why are you guys so damn slow?
Just kidding.

| Posted : Saturday, 17 November 2007 - 02:26 lol. Given the delays there has been days and days between moves. I would have thought things had been resolved.
But I based your (crimsondawn) moves off what your allies sent (Turkey was supporting an attack, so I put the attack in) and off what I learnt from listening in on a convo.
It has that or place everything on hold.
As for fufu I just put him on defence as I had no indication of what he was doing. lol.
This game is really way to slow. Negotations need to be hard and fast or else the game changes in too many directions and falls apart.
I am giving 2-3 days between turns and it still doesn't seem enough. I did warn everyone before we began the game about at least a vague time limit and I sent a message out warning you two quite a few hours before I did the turn that you needed to get orders in.
Spending weeks between turns is really quite silly for this game. | | Sage DoCJoined 8/11/2002 Posts : 4070
| Posted : Saturday, 17 November 2007 - 03:12 Does anyone other than Gaiy care if we wait to get everyone's moves in before updating the game?
Personally, I get irritated by long turns, but I'm willing to put up with it for a legitimate game. | | Crimsondawn Joined 12/06/2007 Posts : 1240
| Posted : Saturday, 17 November 2007 - 04:39 i'd second that, btw gai where did u get the idea i was gut's ally? i was allied with russia against him and was going to attack him, but because u forced the move i attacked my true ally and u left my ally unable to defend himself, just sorta handed it over to turkey who now has dominance in my regeon and germany who has the most sc. Also i'm now unable to build another ship because i wasn't allowed to move my pre-existing one. It seems that the results of this are very one sided. Gai ur a brother to me but wtf where u thinking man? we waited more than a week for bio and gai so why was it so unthinkable to allot a fraction of that to actually playing the game (its called diplomacy because u have to talk to people... alot if u want to win right?).
as to the best defencive strategy thats just not true, he could have easily prevented germany from taking a russian sc but because he didn't move them germany got it... i'd think that gai would have realized just by checking the results how much it slanted the game.
To neb, ya we cann't wait forever but everyone playing is on about once a day or at extremes once every two. i log in once every day and check the forum and when i went to bed didn't see gai's msg and when i got on it had already been inacted.
at this point i don't see much going for me from here, i'm locked in and with germany leaged with gut i don't stand a chance. Anyways given fufu gives up control of russia i'll turn austria over to his control and maby he'll fair better Last Edited : Saturday, 17 November 2007 - 04:56 | Nebuchadnezer DoCJoined 9/06/2005 Posts : 3017

| Posted : Saturday, 17 November 2007 - 12:53 Wow, yeah, I thought Fufu's moves weren't quite right. Yeah, I got to say, not a good call Gai.
Mm, and crims, you sneaky son of a b :p Going to stab me, eh?
I'm fine with a restart if everyone wants to do it. |
