I didn't get to look closely at your game with Chickie to determine the story behind that one.
My best guess is that the experienced players who have gone against you have insisted on custom battles and the new players went with scenarios.
Your skills appear to be solid for your current level of experience. I would be happy to play a scenario game with you when we get a chance. Cheers, H. |

as for my battle with Chickie... if I remember correctly, it was a toughie, but she made a crucial mistake or two (which she realized afterwards too) that allowed me to take advantage and win. I expect that if we rematched right after that, I'd probably not have been able to do that again >.>; |

| Posted : Wednesday, 23 January 2008 - 09:58 Well a nice Balanced Marks/mace/spears set-up can easily beat a set-up with HC in a 6000k battle, just recently i've beaten ethedog with a marks/mace/spears set-up while he had 4 HC in a 6000k battle, it's just about choosing the right postion and which flanking moves you should take out Asap |

| Posted : Sunday, 22 June 2008 - 18:49 i think custom is the best but i do see the same troops thing but when you start off with no range unit higher than archers and 3 rams and even a bali, a bali! when do you fight using balis? |

| Posted : Sunday, 22 June 2008 - 21:18 I would hardly call marks/mace/spears a ballanced set up though Hanky, that's an HC counter set up. Someone builds an entire army of squires you're screwed . You can say, "well no one ever does that," but my point is you can't call a set up ballanced if it can't handle a wide variety of army types, and yours would be crushed by a paper/bali set up. |

| Posted : Monday, 23 June 2008 - 13:34 there is a reason that a squire and a pike match up to 250 points exactly bc they are soo raw, or a squire and a bali match up to 300, i tend to use those types of groups that add up to those and hten you throw in the mace and hc that are all even points 5 archers and 5 spear for some cannon fodder and using that right there pretty balanced in my opinoin |
