Guerilla "El loco Cochone" has offered us to open a bananatrade from his home country that would give us 80% of the home market if everything goes to plan
In a retun for this he wants political asylum in the US
Problems:
The american president has repeatedly bashed El loco Cochone on national television.
Bananas from this country are banned to trade because of a trade embargo. We have to smuggle them in somehow...
who is resourceful enough to solve this matter? You have a budget of $100 millions

You have failed to state which country you represent. Is it the US, or some other country?

If it is some other country, we will use the 100 million to bribe corrupt US officials to allow him to have asylum. The President would get his usual 25% cut from all graft. so he will suddenly think El Loco is a near-saint and welcome him in as a mole the US planted long ago. The trade would be handled as if it were coming from the actual government of Loco`s location.

If you represent the US, you merely have the President lie about past attitudes, bring ol` Loco in as a mole, stop the embargo and lie about where the bananas come from. You only have to pay the president 25 million, I pocket the other 75 million.

Set up a company runway in Iraq for 5 million, since everything there is cheap, and ship bananas there. Repackage them and send them here. The government is to lazy to check so you have your bananas. Next you bribe a congress man for another 5 million to talk good about El loco Cochone and let the congressman fight to undo the embargo on the bananas.Then you can use the other 90 million to tie up any loose ends.

Just for the record, I didn't paricipate in this game for the very reasons Lod rejected everyone except Harold.

I was only able to think of something similar to Arthur's idea and then maybe plastic surgery or something, but then the thought of suggesting some way to procure a false ID was just a complete turn off to this game for me because I wouldn't want a possible misunderstanding with anyone who might read this thread much less suggest a treasonous act to win a game.

Is that idealistic enough?
