haha so i see , i wouldn''t bash the marrets of towers as they are important if you are seriouse about protecting a small area but my main point is that fixed defences are hardly ever the sollution to a problem... i think france proved that to us

i would not like to be you on the recieving end of one of my tower runs then lol ... surrounding your area with towers towards the end of a game ... providing you last that long ... closing in and picking off anything you produce ... slowly moving my troos in for the kill ... two sets of cats are all i would need at first ... no production left, then the clean up crew get sent in to finish up the job, with ballista all around for extra protection just in case of back up - towers are smart if used at the right time

its like that with every aspect of this game =) i much prefer the speed and flexability of troops over fortifications but now that i think of it, the best way is probably to find the right mix. and even that would have to be changed depending on circomstance

recon is a good early tech, try getting it by turn 3, then build as many outposts as you can, I''d suggest 3 or 4 in an arc around your castle that way you can see far in every direction!

And our super-BOS-decoder-rings and matching watches ... with a nice BOS logo.

Have you considered dropping the "O" out of BOS? It would be far more accurate that way, you know...

Guys,
I think this thread was created to help newbies. This is a very good intent.
The latest posts are very funny, but will confuse inexperienced players. They will learn eventually, but could get frustrated and quit the game :-(
Let''s use our humor while commenting our campaigns and/or duels. It''s so much fun !

Thanks for understanding

scouts are awesome for checking out terrain and smashing piles of resources as they come across them....also with the scout if you jump into an enemy force you have the second phase to move him back undetected by the enemy....i like the outposts also they give defensive range around your castle or borders where you build them.... and also good for offensive either way the out post gives you time to bring a force close handy while your scouts are to far away from your homelands.... the scout at this time is totally blind wouldnt know where a force was if the scout is a few kingdoms away from your kindom.
