A vet is short for "A Veteran" - or, in other words - an experienced player (experience is relative - for the "Vets" might play differently then some much newer players, and those newer players might actually have more suitable strategies and tactics).

Well, poof poof! I know exactly where I am! But for you to be able to see me would involve some sort of less than possible behavior. And in clan games, even Biscuit must fear the MOG!
