| Posted : Saturday, 6 January 2007 - 21:48 I'm stumped! Here's another summary. We have only four questions left!
The answer is a well-known fictional character played by an actor who is still alive. The character appeared on television before appearing in movies. The character is played by the same actor both on television and in the movies.
The character is male. The character is larger than 50cm in two dimensions, but not in a third dimension. The character was born after 1860 C.E.
The character is not a musician or athlete. The character is not a world leader. The character is not an American, nor does he reside in North America. The character does not appear in science fiction. The character is not involved in law enforcement. The character has never been shipwrecked as far as Mog knows.
Even after reviewing all of this information, I am still unable to think of anything! Good luck to the rest of you, for now.

| Posted : Saturday, 6 January 2007 - 23:25 trying to narrow it down somewhat...animated characters have NOT been played by the same actor. However, you said the same actor played the tv character AND the movie character, but you haven't said anything about more than 1 actor playing the same character, many series have had more than 1 actor so this question could narrow it down by 50/50.
Has this character been played by more than 1 actor? | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14358

| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 08:02 I tried to think through medical drama and comedies, and I've narrowed my guesses down to a single character. Unfortunately, I know very little about this character, so I want to ask the forum for information before venturing a guess.
Mr. Bean was a British television comedy before it appeared on the silver screen, but I've never seen the show, so it's difficult for me to compare him against the facts we know so far. The single fact that I'm unsure about is whether or not the television show revolved around Mr. Bean's profession. I don't even know what Mr. Bean's profession was! | | tarim Joined 18/10/2002 Posts : 2727
| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 08:19 He doesn't seem to have a job at all. | | mwmoss Joined 26/10/2006 Posts : 227
| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 08:53 Wow, Mr. Bean is a good guess! I will make it official - is it Mr. Bean? | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14358

| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 12:59 He's not meant to be law enforcement even though he does solve crimes so I would've gone for Quincy. That's if there's ever been a Quincy movie. | | Siper Joined 15/12/2006 Posts : 280

| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 18:46 Any Monty Python fans out there? Is Monty Python an actual character or a producer's nickname? | | Renno Joined 23/05/2005 Posts : 1582
| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 19:10 I had thought of mr bean and monty too, but neither show revolves around their profession, I had also thought of inspector clouseaux(however it's spelled), peter sellers played both tv series and then the movie however it has to do with law enforcement even of the ridiculous sort.
quincy was in the states, the character was not in north america.
not knowing enough of european television or asian or uk, the only thing I can think of is the croc hunter, first came the tv show then the movie(documentary) and played by same actor and no others.

| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 20:20 I would guess Woody Allen except Wikopedia still says he's American So not a guess. Just letting you know I thought of him in the event you thought he was now a Brit or "sumpin".

| Posted : Monday, 8 January 2007 - 20:25 Renno asked "did the tv series revolve around the character's profession?" and the answer was YES. Kind of leaves out Monty Python or Mr. Bean. Not North America based if I recall. They are not alive or perhaps the Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin or Jacques Cousteau is a guess. I would not think it was someone from M*A*S*H*, but that is all I can think of right now. The series was based overseas but Alan Alda/Hawkeye Pierce was an American.
