He's left for home anyway (for now)...so you'd have to wait till next time regardless. |

How are we supposed to learn the nuisances of this game if we can't see two masters at work? |

Biscuit, you should take notes from your own play... |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 00:17 Master. You're calling ME 'master'? After all the foul-ups in that game so far?
Especially in this modern era, when there's so much I've got to relearn... (albeit re-learning fast!)
Besides, I doubt there's anything a big bisc can learn from mere mortals like us. |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 00:19 Oh please. There is always lots to learn. If someone knew everything there was to know about this game ... well ... he'd be Req! |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 00:22 I already thought if you have fewer and worse troops, you're due to lose. So I assumed Neb would chase me back to my castle and that would be that. I didn't think I'd get a chance to cut his numbers down a bit!
Honest.
I couldn't just lie down and take 10th though. I pull criticism for not relentlessly pursuing #1, but even I have my limits.
I have a feeling this protest is going to fall on largely deaf ears, since I have an annoying habit of 'discovering' new skills at inconvenient times for others |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 00:23 No, he'd be Biscuit. You watching me and CTD is like Shaq watching 3rd graders play basketball...entertaining, sure...educational? No. |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 00:32 LOL @ Neb. You give me way too much credit. The Iceman likes to say I've been lucky and haven't had to fight a real battle yet. I figure it'll take another 10 campaigns or so before I understand all the nuances of the game. Of course, Req will probably change the game a little before then. Anyway, I'm still experimenting with unit selections and tech trees...looking for that perfect startup. |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 00:33 Perhaps if I nabbed castles at a bisc-like speed, I would be able to threaten him. But I never have been able to, so I can't.
Somehow, I never run into these early-pushovers who just let me in their castles.
When he says educational, I suspect he's looking for extra tactics to supplement his ungodly speed that he can then turn back on their owners. |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 00:42 LOL @ CTD. It does make it easier when people tear down their castle walls and towers for the quick bucks (even many high-level players seem to do it). I don't know who started that trend, but I've sure have benefitted from it. |

| Posted : Thursday, 10 August 2006 - 23:12 Might be my fault.
Still, it benefitted me every time I did it. And it wouldn't have changed the outcome of OUR fight, which was a simple matter of numbers. My lack of.
Then again, I don't BEGIN with a teardown, not until I'm sure it won't make much difference. |

| Posted : Friday, 11 August 2006 - 14:14 I've been in the situation where I couldn't move in half of my own castle before. The walls did not help. If anyone really wants in that bad, they come in through the corners anyway - and with your bali numbers I suspect little would succeed in stopping you. CoC demonstrated this well enough in the recent clan match by their determination to come through a solid stone wall.
What I really need to take you out is a mass-offensive mindset. But that means I run the risk of it backfiring, which is a risk normally not worth knowing, unless you feel you have a significantly better-than-evens chance vs your opponent.
Someday Bisc, you will run into an opponent who just happens (by dumb luck) to have a troop setup that opposes yours perfectly. And then you'll need a new plan |
