| Posted : Sunday, 22 January 2006 - 12:30 This should be on the home page, just like the beginner tutorials. It's just that important for new players to learn. However, I think I read somewhere that ZoC will be phased out eventually? That might be great, and it might suck...myself, I'm too new too the game to be really attached to ZoC, and I've had a bad experience with it going up against a mace/marks formation, but I've also begun using it to my advantage. |

| Posted : Sunday, 22 January 2006 - 12:32 The "getting rid of ZoC" was just Req's drunken rambling. One of his main arguements for it was "new players can't understand" ZoC.
Hence, a tutorial that has many a new player telling me "hey thanx for ur tutorial I really understand now"

| Posted : Tuesday, 24 January 2006 - 16:24 Well, if you don't understand, please tell me what's confusing you...my goal here wasn't to make Req look silly (at least, not entirely)...I want to make sure new players understand this simple-yet-complex system |

| Posted : Thursday, 4 May 2006 - 15:30 I lost my website. All the files and pages were lost.
I had no backup of the pages, or the pictures I used as examples. If I did, I would simply move them to a geocities page. But, alas, I'll have to redo the entire thing...eventually.
In the meantime, I can answer any questions about ZoC myself...it just won't be as useful as an illustrated tutorial |

| Posted : Thursday, 4 May 2006 - 18:03 If somebody would provide me with some screenshots, I could whip up another one sometime this weekend. I did the first one on a whim when I realized my troops were set up perfectly to demonstrate all the ZoC moves.
The criteria for the pictures:
They must allow me to demonstrate -A 1-2 move -A 2-1 move -A 1-1 move (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT) -A 2-0 move
It would be ideal if they included ranged troops or commanders, to show that, yes, ranged troops count toward the ZoC.
If you have any situations like this, or are in a position to create one, please take a screenshot. Then PM me, I'll give you my email address, and I'll credit you for the pics on the tutorial if you want |

| Posted : Friday, 26 January 2007 - 21:35 Nah! ... it's easy ... look ... here I go.
First ... if you're bordered by an enemy in 1 position and only 1 position ... you can't move to a spot that's surrounded by 2 or more enemies.
If your bordered by 2 or more enemies then you can only move to a spot that it's not bordered by any enemies.
Simple! ... I think. |
