There are 3 enemy units preventing movement to hex 1. Not mentioning the archers would get some players thinking that they don't have an affect on ZOC. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 20 December 2005 - 17:34 I thought about that, but I figured adding more numbers into the mix would confuse people. The jist of it is you can't move from 1 to 2. Moving from 1 to 3 is basically just moving from 1 to 2+1
In reality, the archers DON'T have an affect on ZoC...not really. They could disappear completely and the scout still would be unable to move there.
I'll consider changing it, though I think it would just make it more confusing. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 20 December 2005 - 19:21 I mentioned it more for the fact that somebody would report a bug someday, that the archers are causing ZOC.
You could also take away the spearmen and they still couldn't move to that spot. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 20 December 2005 - 19:50 Ghengis, anybody reporting that bug obviously wouldn't understand ZoC. My tutorial makes it clear, does it not, that moving from a hex next to one enemy to a hex next to two is not allowed? Anybody who understands that concept won't be confused. The archer, in that situation, has no effect on ZoC.
However, I suppose it's hoping for too much to expect everyone who reads the tutorial to be intelligent. I've edited the photos and deleted the archer from them. Now there will be no confusion |

| Posted : Thursday, 22 December 2005 - 06:36 I'll put a link to it on the existing sticky. I've tried to be sparing in my use of stickies and I still get complaints when I make one. So I'll add to the existing ones. |

| Posted : Sunday, 22 January 2006 - 11:11 I am not entirely clear, some of the comments seem to suggest that units like comms and range (archers, etc.) do not effect ZOC. Is that correct? |

Would you mind pointing out which parts confused you? I'd like to make it more clear. |
