For newer players I'd like to mention a couple of things:

You can build on every hex of your barracks. In other words, you may have four troops growing on each barracks. You could have 20 scouts to deploy and deploy them as 4 stacks of 5 each. Remember, you need extra military academies to keep building armies past the original 20. Each Military Academy gives you the ability to have five more troops in play.

If you shoot a ranged piece with a ranged piece, there is no retaliation if you are outside of the victim's range. So ballista vs archer, from out of the archer's range, ballista gets no retaliation.

Here's a dumb one it took me some questioning to get: When you want to take over another player's castle, move one Commandeer (or more) onto the actual light gray area of the castle. Double-Click the Commandeer and click the "take over castle" button on the right.

Catapults puzzled me the first time I had them. Click on a target building, wall, palisade, etc. and then on the "Destroy" button to the right. It's different than using normal ranged.

Having a troop with more than 1000 population makes it invulnerable, it is a bug. Please don't try it, you can get booted.

StCrispin has a third ni ppl e, but it isn't on his chest!

Anybody else have any suggestions for instructions about non-obvious features of gameplay?

why do you say 1000er troops are invulnerable?
It would be enough to say you can get booted for doing that.

what do you say about stcrispin? He has a 3rd nipple?

Do you wanted to post that in the general chit chat?

lolz, yeap i din get it either about stcrispin

oh and by the way,to add to the list,i think i figured out the bug for the catapults
most of us cant attack the buildings although it is in range is because we cant really see the building
so try to build an outpost within 10 hexes from the building and u should be able to hit it already
i`m not sure bout the barrack in the castle tho, seems to still a bug rite there

Somehow I'm sorry I mentioned StCrispin's extra nub. I can't tell you where it is, or how big it is, but it has a tattoo next to it that says "mankiller."

Now for some more goodies?

Well, this went to hades. Anybody have any non-obvious game play details for new players?

Hankyspanky, I was attempting to make a joke. However, I eneded up being a n ipple on some hairy spot on StCrispin's body somewhere because of it. That was not my intention.

"Bingo" means "You are right", not the name of the nibble. Dumkopfs.

Crap, this is pathetic. Explaining a joke? That is dumb.

And mog, I hope "dumkopf" wasn't ment to be dutch.
