true but some of the larger castles had catapults in towers that would launch rocks into the enemy formations to kill as many as possible. A primative shotgun effect if you will.

Say has anyone tried to build a tower where the cats are sitting? Then you could have cats in a tower, but couldn't move out of them.

which would bring me to point out, mebe req should install battle towers, towers that are built that fire arrows at any enemy troop that comes within range.... make it a siege device one of those mobile towers, but instead of a siege weapon against castle walls it was used against troops, like a medival tank armed with archers. High defense against ranged attack but weak when attacked by melee.

and these battle towers would replace the ballista and the ballista would become an expert seige lvl where they would do 25% dammage to buildings and 50% to troops. That would bump the cats up to a master lvl seige and thus make them a little harder to obtain.

well actually me thinks a trebuchet should be expert level troop.... catapults should have there range tweaked too 6 -7 spaces, they had crappy range, trebuchet should be the most feared Siege weapon, hitting from 11 blocks away with devestating force BUT, lol mebe a 50 stone consumption rate per shot youtake... or a stone per trebuchet in the stack.

All interesting ideas, and I do agree about cats not being the long ranged type that the trebuchets' were, but some of these ideas seem to be going a little too far IMO. A little too complex and such.

I dont often post or complain... but with DT gone games are gonna fill up alot slower... I dont see why we cant have games with both old method and new method? Just make a DT category game and players who dont like it dont have to play it and those who do like it can ... or maybe make Skirmish DT also instead... I play alot and I liked Double trouble alot.......

If Req makes skirmish games all into DT, I'll gouge somebodies eyes out. Maybe mine, maybe Req's, maybe yours.

I like skirmishes, do NOT turn them into DT. Make a new category for DT if need be, stop hijacking pre-existing types of games and making them unplayable.
