The new Auto-Battle games are here!

Troop selections are RANDOM, so each game is different, and both players get the exact SAME troops (no seige troops).

The 1st player chooses the class, then both players fight using the same troops making it a much more fair and skill-based battle.

This will be more like the new version, which will only allow set troops instead of "lucky" guessing picks.

oh, also...

Battle games are no longer CLAN-Blocked.

it doesnt matter if the player is in the same clan or not now, anyone can play battle games against anyone.

I like the new auto-battle idea. I think that that will have a great benefit for fair battles that better demonstrate the skill and stategy of one player or another. But I think that I'm not alone is saying that I enjoy being able to select exactly what troops I want to fight with; it more easily accompanies the personal flavor of each battlers' style and strategy.

This is fun! Extremely challenging...and no excuses since you know exactly what your opponent has. It comes down to the best strategy and the least mistakes. Really cool!

Now all we need are new/random maps to go with it.

But I love these things...

Ok, made a change to Auto-Battles.

Auto's now choose 6 troop types at random, and gives you around 650 points worth of each 6 troop types.

So you may get lots of swordsmen, or just a couple marksmen, etc.

You also start with 2 comms each time.

This is a bit more balanced than just plain random, and makes the lower troops more useful rather than just fodder.

The total troops deployed comes to approx 3500 points. Each time is slightly different.

Heeey, you took my suggestion (sorta)

*walks away grumpy that req changed the auto battles once I got used to them...but I'm still happy, even if the battles are going to be obscenely long now*

Eek, for demon auto games, do they really need to have 2 summoners? Do summoners do anything?

The manual doesn't say anything about summoners giving the attack bonus...

Summoners give the same bonus as Comms now.

Also, Auto-Battles have a MAX of 40 troops + the 2 comms, sorted by points. (Best first)

So if you get lots of lower troops it cuts out the bottom X troops until you have 40. then adds the 2 comms.

Hey Req I realize I haven't been long at this battle thing, but I have to say that I like being allowed to select my own troops. In the autobattles I have gotten troop selections that I would never use together. At times there are no ranged units, others almost all range. Then you get forces made up of squires, militia, and pikemen as the primary troops with no cavalry type in the group. The troop selection doesn't seem to balance very well.

I realize that at times a person could choose an army that is at a complete disadvantage against an opponent, but in war you don't always have forces that match each other.

So please when the new version comes out allow players to still have battles where they can select the troops.

Umm Ghengis, we still have battles where we can select the troops. Novice games are level 20-250.
