| Posted : Wednesday, 14 July 2004 - 07:50 Siege troops unless they get a serious revamp including faster movement (idunno make em pulled by really good horses) are pretty much useless, simply use your ranged troops to destroy any unit within 3 blocks of the wall, send in a commandeer to take the wall over and then destroy it yourself using the remove command. it turns it to rubble and vualat instahole, now feel free to march troops into the castle at your whim. |

If there are ballistas in towers, it becomes difficult to do that. In many of my games I end up with 1000+ troops of marks and/or balli and thus you have tower warfare tactics. But A suicide catapult can take down a barrks real quick and thus give the attacker the troops numerical advantage that many times he does not have in a siege. | | cardfan_stl Joined 25/10/2003 Posts : 855
| Posted : Monday, 19 July 2004 - 13:42 Well in our clan game against BoS me and ^ector got to do a lot of testing on this, as we were trying to remove walls to make it harder for Negative Creep to take the castle (make sense? yeah, but it might take more explaining than we need to get into).
Anyway, we were never able to remove a wall when the opponent was 4 spaces away. We needed to remove enemies that were 4 away.

| Posted : Tuesday, 20 July 2004 - 13:06 well now that its been disabled so you can not commandeer walls/towers/drawbridges you need to come up with entire strats and NOW you have to have siege weapons for those turn 80 closet guys that wall themselves up nice and tight. making it next to impossible to get into the castle without some kind of siege tool. | | gueritol Joined 7/02/2003 Posts : 3940
