The terrain system has been updated as per the Suggestion Forum threads.
The website now sports a new top menu system, and the favorites have been moved to the left menu.
I've also added the Campaign:Battle levels/pages. The Battle games will be available very soon. |

| Posted : Wednesday, 24 July 2002 - 10:22 I don't like the new movement. I think moving somewhere to attack was quite hard as it was, and now it has become even harder. |

| Posted : Wednesday, 24 July 2002 - 11:08 I agree with unseen. It's especially annoying that in the middle of a game the terrain has changed. I have to change my strategy because now some units are effectively stranded (50% movement) for the next term. Hope this isn't too whiny, just wanted to let you know my opinion. In general, thanks for a great game. |

| Posted : Wednesday, 24 July 2002 - 11:29 Ok. I've modified the "darker" terrain to be 60%.
so now each terrain type has 2 levels of 80% and 60%.
the techs give +10% to each (making it 90%/70%), which is already better than much of the old terrain system.
i still have to add the "native" terrain bonus, so you will then get another +10% to whichever terrain you started on. that could take your native terrain up to 100%/80% which is MUCH faster than the old system on average.

| Posted : Wednesday, 24 July 2002 - 11:55 ok. It's DONE.
each player now has their "Native" terrain set. whatever the terrain was at the center of your starting castle, is now your native terrain.
this gives +10% movement to that terrain (both the light/dark versions). |
