| Posted : Monday, 1 July 2002 - 23:42 I've just updated the Flash-Map to 2.24. Also updated the MapEditor to 1.08.
This fixes the invisible Knight bug, as well as adding a few things.
New terrain object graphics, updated ALL the troop graphics so they should look nicer, included some new class troops for future use.
The Depth model has been changed too, so moving troops around objects will display the correct depth.
You might also want to give the ? a try on the bottom of the flash map... Last Edited : Tuesday, 2 July 2002 - 02:11 | Alverin Joined 7/11/2001 Posts : 476
| Posted : Tuesday, 2 July 2002 - 00:05 I like the new troop pictures - I might even stay zoomed in more often now so I can enjoy them. I also like the new terrain, especially the mountains. Thanks again Requiem and dby! | | Pro Joined 22/10/2000 Posts : 3023
| Posted : Tuesday, 2 July 2002 - 00:11 I like, I like, Specially the question mark thing, So i can see behind trees and mountains. | | Requiem [R]Joined 3/02/2000 Posts : 4882
| Posted : Tuesday, 2 July 2002 - 00:22 yea, the mountains are based on dby's cool version. its a little stretched as dby's were a bit small. perhaps dby would be interested in doing some a bit larger say about 120x60 diamond (as it shrinks down to about 80x40 on the map), and allows for players that enlarge it. My images are currently 80x60 (due to the trees going above the diamond), so a 120x90 version would look much nicer i think.
also, the new archer is based on dby's archer, however i modified it a bit, and forgot to take it out after testing. sorry dby. if you want i can take it out.
all the other troops have been enhanced from their originals and made a bit bigger so they are clearer. | | Requiem [R]Joined 3/02/2000 Posts : 4882
| Posted : Tuesday, 2 July 2002 - 02:11 Also, the new MapEditor (1.08) uses the new terrain objects, and also will convert old maps into the new system.
The new zip file also has my latest versions of the 2 120x120 maps we are using.

| Posted : Tuesday, 2 July 2002 - 07:35 Again, zoomed in is AMAZING! However, I'm currently logging in away from home, so I have to use small zoom anyway, to go with the small window so I can minimise at a moment's notice It has to be said that when not on small zoom, it's the bright colours that make the archer stand out :-) So...more bright colours please :-) | | Morbius Joined 15/07/2001 Posts : 3923

| Posted : Tuesday, 2 July 2002 - 19:17 did you order your troops to move a long distance? if you did so, try several shorter distances in a row. | | pinafore Joined 19/07/2001 Posts : 2307
