Ok, i've edited my previous terrain type list to include the RGB color values. i'd say maps would be 120x120, 200x200, or something else simple.

as for resources, as described in the Suggestions forums some time ago, they work different now.
resource piles have nothing to do with resource buildings.

players can only take over resource buildings that are placed on the map (cannot build them). the do not need to be near any resource pile. (as seen in my example)
there is no Food anymore.

resource piles are now simply free resources that when moved over or attacked once, ALL the resources are taken and the object disappears (bit like treasure).

so, as a map maker, you need to decide whether to have more resource buildings, so players have a longer term resource income to fight over, or fewer and more resource piles which means a faster immediate resource count, but less steady income there-after. or perhaps a balance of the two.

I REALLY have to do this thing :-)
I've only come back to the game today, but that map editor is SCREAMING out to be used!
You really have no idea how many hours I wasted on making Doom maps :-) - all fairly (in professional terms) basic but still...
I just HAVE to do this...

hehe. well, i hope that with a public map editor, we can see some really cool maps in future, and should make the game a bit more interesting.

to send in maps, simply email me the TXT file that you saved your data in. email alex@waronline.net

as for the base terrain (the background image), thats a bit trickier. If you make a good one, you'll have to send it in so I can check it out and convert it.
However, we are limited in how many of these we have overall. I'll probably only have about 3-4 of these in each major size group.

no.
destroying will actually just make them inactive for a while and lose ownership.

I'd say clan matches would have no more than 5 players per clan in a single game. Any more than that and it would place a requirement for ALL clans to have 10+ members, which isnt very fair.

Clans are really only meant to be small groups/teams.
