| Posted : Sunday, 8 February 2026 - 12:41 I am now 71! I am older than anyone else here. I wonder how long this game will continue? I've been here for 22 years now. Since I am often the only player here, I am also the youngest player!
I'd sure enjoy a good 20 player game on the map I designed for it, The Dragon Lakes.
In the meantime, I am working on a show of new paintings for a show in Nov/Dec. I'll post a link to some photos soon.
I also have sort of begun collecting marbles! They are so pretty, but the good ones (old German hand mades) are really expensive, sop I don't expect to get many of those.
I have also been getting some really great condition older Spider-Man comics, including a copy of number 28 in almost mint condition, a real feat since it has an all black cover that shows any dings at all. Mine has none! I also got number 25, which also has a fantastic Steve Ditko cover. When I was a kid, I had a mint collection up to about number 65 or so. If I still had it, I could sell it and buy a big house! I spent $20 on a perfect number one. It would have grade at least in the high nines.
Now I am going to cook some Spanish rice for use in a burrito! Last Edited : Sunday, 8 February 2026 - 12:42 | Braquemart Joined 9/09/2002 Posts : 460

| Posted : Monday, 16 February 2026 - 15:40 Yesterday I went and "taped" a radio show at Space 101.1 FM in Seattle. I hosted an hour long show playing music from my collection. Chuck Davis invited me, and produced the show. I tried to put together an eclectic mix.
1. Joni Mitchell. California 3:48 2. Peter Green Slabo Day 5:06 3. Manfred Mann Dashing Away With The Smoothing Iron. 1:59 4. Taj Mahal. She Caught The Katy And Left Me A Mule To Ride 3:00 5. Cream NSU 2:42 6. Mallard A Piece Of Me 4:36 7. Youngbloods Euphoria 2:15 8. Bucky Pizzarellit & George Barnes. Blue Skies 2:15 9. Arlo Guthrie The Motorcycle Song 2:58 10. Mothers of Invention Plastic People 3:40 11.Jeff Beck Group Spanish Boots. 3:35 12. Donovan Mad John’s Escape 2:16 13. Stevie Wonder Happier Than The Morning Sun. 5:18 14. Janis Joplin Turtle Blues. 4:30 15. Larry Coryell Sex. 3:51 16. Captain Beefheart. When It Blows Its Stacks 3:41
The only one that didn't get played was number 15 due to time limitations.
I had a wonderful time and blabbed like I was just let out of a cage!

| Posted : Monday, 2 March 2026 - 19:22 Not too much to report, but I thought I might update a bit. Working hard on my show for this Nov/Dec. I just started getting some smaller panels ready to prime. All for frames I have already.
I have been aghast watching videos of the fiasco that the Republicans have allowed Trump to perform starting a disastrous war with Iran. No one knows how it will turn out, but I guarantee it will be bad for everybody. So sad that the US has turned into a fascist state. The good people left in the US aren't taking this well and if we can, will vote the Reps out in record numbers and then rein in the Nazis who have power currently. But gee whiz, I wouldn't want to get political! | | Mog DoC Joined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14459
| Posted : Sunday, 8 March 2026 - 22:38 The building I loive in has a record store/ bookstore downstairs. The Bookstore is the Fantagraphics Bookstore & Gallery, their brick and Mortar location here in Georgetown, Seattle.
Tonight there was a celebration of Fantagraphic's 50 year anniversary. There is a comic con going on in Seattle and they had a panel talking about Fanta's history with the publisher, Gary Groth, the VP publisher, Eric Reynolds, and Jim Woodring as well as Max Clotfelter and a couple of others. Afterward they came down to the bookstore for cake and drinks.
Quite a crowd at the bookstore... many cartoonists, collectors, well-known folk... and MEEEEEEEE!

| Posted : Monday, 20 April 2026 - 08:12 On Friday night I went with a friend to hear Tommy Emmanuel play guitar. He was incredible. Fast, accurate, inventive, funny. A great night. I suggest anyone who loves music should go to his concerts. | | Mog DoC Joined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14459

| Posted : Sunday, 3 May 2026 - 05:02 Just for a larf I voted at TWG for Waronline.net! Nobody cares even a little about doing that any more, just like no one votes for Player of the Month, or Troop of the month. It's just me. The Mog, half human, half dog.
