Flash Player after 12/31/2020

Most major browsers will stop supporting Flash in their new updates. This article begins to show how to keep using an older version. I'd like to see this really well sorted out so we can continue to play here.

This makes me wonder how baked in flash is to the business logic. I mean using ActionScript is all understood but can a data layer/API on the server resolve the issue of flash? Who knows... Just a short rant/question I guess. Not for anyone in general.

I wish I had more to add at this very moment. At the very least, let's pin this. A bump every 2-3 weeks to keep the players in the loop would be useful I hope.

I was on Discord with Req recently. I think you should approach him about collaborating, Ult. You two could do it in a much shorter time. At least show him what you've accomplished so far, it might egg him on a bit!

Even if the maps stop working here after 1/1/21 the forums should still be up and running so we can keep up on any developments on the game.

I have read up a bit, it seems as though to keep my browser running Flash I'd have to stop it auto-updating which is highly warned against. I made a copy of Chrome and that messed up a lot of stuff, I think my system didn't know which was the real one and I had to sign in to a bunch of stuff I haven't had to sign in to in a long time.

Really, HTML5 is the best option.

Let me see what I can do. I have not touched the project in almost two months. Let me put it up on my server and then polish it up a bit and see where we can go from there.

I think most of it should work until people have automatic updates on their browsers. I don't know how long that will take.

Today, January 12th, 2021 Flash stopped working.
