Short Game, Lvl 1 troops. All vs all hack and slash for exp, attacking any troops onsite is encouraged. No walls or drawbridges.
Scouts, spearmen, swordsman, archers, commandeers, battering ramms only. all techs except castle walls.

- No defensive buildings or use of buildings for defensive purposes (no using training guilds to block passage into a castle/area or to make units unreachable or harder to reach by melee attacks) - No fortifications/building defense techs(tho they can only hurt with these rules) - No siege weapons - Takeovers only, no destruction of property - Only level 1 troops (spear, sword, scout, archer, comms) - No using comms for battle or to block troops - In a battlefield, limit comms so that they cannot get in the way of battle

| Posted : Thursday, 29 August 2019 - 15:20 I don't know why you consider comms to be outside of battle, they are the strongest level 1 troop. They should get used in combat. If anything, I'd use them exclusively, maybe they shouldn't be allowed at all?
Also, how about everybody destroys all of their castle palisades and towers on turn one? No hiding behind walls then! Defend your barracks as best you can, you do get lots of extra defense on a castle slab and even more on the barracks themselves.

Initially, Comms were meant to be used for two purposes only. To build and provide their bonuses.
Unfortunately, people would b*tch about their comms getting attacked and the solution to that became making them stronger than level 1 units which discouraged melee attacks from lvl 1 units on them. Which is bull****. Support units SHOULD be easily popped. You should never have them hanging out on their own. Defend them dammit!
You have just made my point. They are currently the STRONGEST lvl 1 melee in the game which makes RPS pointless. Just drop comms and you win. Hence my limitations on them.
They would make RPS play pointless that is why I consider them outside of play. Where is the fun in having all armies of comms + archers? You can beat anyone with a Comms/Archers army if you were limited to just lvl 1 units. | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14303

So, they would be for making buildings and adding battle points only. Keeping them out of the way, eh. Just protect them but let others kill them. |
