AuthorTopic : Should Requiem pull the plug on Wol?

So few players that we can't get a game going. It's been dwindling down to nothing for years and may have actually hit bottom now. Perhaps Requiem would prefer to not have to deal with continuing to support this game?

What about the few folks that are left? Do you want to see this game ended?

It would certainly make me sad to see it go, but coming here and hoping for a resurgence of interest is getting painful as well.

What do you say?

Should remain for its historical significance. That is my opinion.

Yeah, but nobody is here and we can't get a game together.

It will just be a sad place people "drop in" every couple of years to see if stupid ol' Mog is still hoping to see a revival. They say nice stuff, never stick around and won't play.

Any other answers or opinions?

I would hate to see it go, but I am also waiting for the resurgence that is not likely to come. I would defer to your decision Mog since you are the one who is keeping it going. Whenever it is not worth it to you, I would support your decision.

I really have appreciated your dedication to the game and your efforts to keep our dreams alive for things to improve.
Best regards,
H.

It's not up to me, it's up to Requiem.

I agree with Bahamut, that it should stay. If just for old times sake. I think Req feels the same way, otherwise I think he would have pulled the plug a long time ago.

I think as more people keep reading the forums, this topic will incourage more people to slowly get back into campaigns.

I'll definitely keep this going for as long as I can. It's really not a huge burden as it basically just sits there and runs.

I'm not sure how to get more people back into the game though. Campaigns not starting does hurt, but perhaps this style of game has just had it's day?

The biggest drawback was not having it on phones and tablets, that really lost the younger folks.

Flash will stop being supported, at least on Chrome, in 2020. I think that will be the last straw, won't it?

Maybe Req could find and let a online game promoter, promote and advertise this game on other platforms and other web sites. And let the promoter keep most of the profit if any. They could send Req a small portion of the proceeds for being allowed to do that. Since they would have more time than Req to do so. I don't know the details on how to do that, but I'm sure there is a way.
