Several times now I have recruited new players but un fortunately I could not be on at the same time. All have informed me they asked someone for advice and/or help and never received as much as a reply!
I would think if we need or want new players we'd "all" drop what we're doing and without waiting for them to ask, help these newcomers out! WOL is really easy yet can be confusing upon entering for the first time!

No one has EVER asked me for help in ten years here, so about a million people have been here and they just leave as far as I know. I am always ready and would be happy to help anyone learn the game! Send them to me! Sheesh!

If you could edit a player's name to have a little helper tag next to them that would have been so useful. Too bad you can't.

I have not ever gotten any questions either. I always ansver people who message me.

I have not gotten any messages when I have been on recently either. My guess is the new people probably tried to message or chat with someone who showed in the "Who's Online" list. As all of you know, our names stay on the list for 15 minutes after our last action. The message probably never got to anyone who could respond. I would be happy to help anyone who asks.

I've attempted lately to recruit Chess Players over with still no success.........I just cant comprehend it when in my view WOL still ranks #1 for a Strategic War Game. My next attempt will be Stratego players on IYT, we'll see?

My only student that has ever lasted is SlowOx. He lived across the hall from me for a few years and I got him into it by playing duels. He has only beaten me once, so far, but he is far better than he was and will give you a run for your money if you duel him!

It is very tough to get recruits, especially when there are so few here that since we play each other constantly, new players have a tough time getting a toehold. I bet once they figure out that "13 active players" means "13 active players" they are mortified!

The game needs an era change ...
Mog, get on your easel and give us gatling guns for cross bows and heavy artillery for catapults for a couple examples.

If you want new players this needs to become app friendly and make its way to cell phones.

Requiem has zero interest in this game so someone else would have to port it.

So I haven't played this game in like 8 years but wanted to start back up sense this was one of my favorite all time games online back in the day . Still can't play on my iPhone tho . Is this game no longer active ? Seems like I see a lot of familiar names still which is pretty cool . Wish there was an iPhone app for the game . I've been playing game of war and spent thousands there .. Would think that would be something to do to make a boat load of money .. Our alliance combined there has easily spent at least half a million dollars in the game in the last 2 years .. Just sayin .. But anyways . Look forward to playing again . Hopefully this game didn't die
