| Posted : Wednesday, 25 July 2012 - 04:00 I attacked a Knight with a bunch of ranged unit, then closed in with my spearman (as always, attacks shown in reverse order):
Your army, Spearmen_2, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Spearmen_2(58,91) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 0 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 6.6, Killed : 0, Exp : 0.
Your army, Archers_6, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Archers_6(59,93) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 0 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 31.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 0.
Your army, Archers_2, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Archers_2(58,93) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 0 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 33.9, Killed : 0, Exp : 0.
Your army, Catapults_1, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Catapults_1(62,97) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 150 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 28.9, Killed : 1, Exp : 0.
Your army, Archers_1, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Archers_1(57,93) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 0 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 7.3, Killed : 0, Exp : 0.
Your army, Archers_5, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Archers_5(56,92) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 0 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 29.7, Killed : 0, Exp : 0.
Your army, Ballista_1, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Ballista_1(58,96) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 300 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 214.0, Killed : 2, Exp : 0.
Your army, Ballista_2, attacked Dunlendings : Knights_1 Ballista_2(61,97) = Wounds : 0.0, Killed : 0, Exp : 300 Knights_1(57,91) = Wounds : 215.6, Killed : 2, Exp : 0.
How come the Knight didn't damage my spearman? (the attack clearly shown as "Miss" in the scrolling damage message).
I'm a little dissapointed that my spearman didn't die, because I was going to follow up the attack with something more hefty, but the spearman is occupying the only hex I can attack from.
I don't know if it's relevant, but the Knight was built this turn. |

Sounds like some kinda bug to me. | | bestia Joined 30/04/2007 Posts : 96
| Posted : Friday, 27 July 2012 - 21:52 It's correct behaviour. the unit, which is built and attacked during the same turn does not retaliate. However it can attack. | | Hambone Joined 27/12/2008 Posts : 329
| Posted : Thursday, 2 August 2012 - 03:58 IIRC correctly, it didn't attack. I know a freshly built unit can attack.
Are you saying a freshly built unit has no retaliation in the turn it was built? If so, if it is built at 23:59, will it retaliate if attacked at 12:01? | | Ultima Bahamut Joined 1/12/2001 Posts : 2508
| Posted : Saturday, 4 August 2012 - 14:59 It will have retaliation capabilities as soon as it is able to move would be my guess. | | LOD Joined 13/12/2001 Posts : 5703
| Posted : Saturday, 4 August 2012 - 15:14 So they are not able to walk when "born" but ready to strike out with the sword to kill but not in defence? Sounds odd to me .... | | Hambone Joined 27/12/2008 Posts : 329
