For you new players, here are the some things most people want to know and have a hard time finding out in the manual or forums.

1) "I can only build 30 armies! How can I raise the limit?"
___ You can build 10 additional armies (of 10 troops each) for each new Military Academy you build. Get the "Building Materials" tech first, (under Blacksmith in Techs) since it lowers all new building costs by 25% and pays for itself almost immediately.

2)"How do I take over a castle?"
___ Move a commandeer onto any vacant castle hex that has no rubble or blood on it. Make sure there are no enemy or unknown (black color) troops in the castle. Double click on the commandeer. On the right side of the window you should see a button that reads "Take over castle". Click it.

Depending on the situation in the castle, you will either take it over immediately or it may take repeated take-over buttons clicks if the castle has defenses due to its previous owner getting defense techs. An unknown owned castle will be taken over in one turn by a full 10 population commandeer. You can check on what percentage the castle has been taken over by clicking on an empty space in the castle, then the information will appear on the right hand side of the window.

A common problem is the take over button will seem to not appear. There are two usual reasons for this. The first is that there is still an enemy troop in the castle, hidden on the barracks space behind the tower in the corner closest to the viewer. Click the "View" button on the map pop-up to remove the tall stuff and you'll see it. Destroy it, continue taking over the castle.

The second reason the take-over button seems to be missing is that it is offscreen below the information on the right side of the window. Tab down to see it. If that won't do it for you, stretch the window out and scroll down to see it. If even that isn't possible on your computer, contact me, Mog, and I can open the game for you and fix it, then you can change your password. I am the site administrator.

3) "Why isn't my campaign getting filled/starting?"
___ It takes time to fill campaigns, days, weeks or sometimes months! The smaller the campaign (less players) the quicker it will start.

The game starts when enough players have joined, but even then it will take until the next turn before it actually begins. Waronline isn't a game for the impatient. If you want quicker games, try battles and duels. We could use some new battlers.

4) "There's a bug that is messing up my game, what can I do about it?"
___ You can write a report in the bug forums, but honestly the game is on auto-pilot to a great extent, the game designer is very busy with his family life and business and hasn't been doing much work on it except fixing game-stopping bugs. A lot of times what appears to be a bug is actually meant to be that way. You can ask other players with messages or in the shout box if you aren't sure whether your bug is real or not.
