Okay Lod, I'll give you that it's not the alloy that's the answer and there was some ambiguity because Mog did say in that other post I copied and pasted that it's an alloy.
However, the following does indicate that the item is something made from a particular alloy:
"LOD AAA Joined 13/12/2001 Posts : 5006 Posted : Saturday, 16 June 2012 - 11:03 "As I understood it it was the alloy itself we were looking for. Are we looking for a specific object made from this alloy?"" "Mog DoC Joined 5/02/2004 Posts : 12172 Posted : Saturday, 16 June 2012 - 11:58
"Yes.
Still 12th..."" "Mog DoC Joined 5/02/2004 Posts : 12172 Posted : Saturday, 16 June 2012 - 11:59 "I realize you might have thought you were looking for the material itself but I read back through the questions and my answers and I don't think you should have come to that conclusion.""
In any event it seemed to me that we still needed to know the alloy in order to guess the item and in order to know the alloy, it would have been easier to know the base metal of the alloy, that is, is the alloy a copper, silver, gold, aluminum or some other metal alloy.

PS: Those are not guesses Mog.

Since we're throwing the word stupid around, try this post that follows on for size giving special attention to the word *"porcelain"*:
