I'm in two duels already and the proving game so not anymore at this time. Later on maybe

yeah well from what i've heard lod was the best in the old version of the game but with this new version i think there is a lot of good player's even the very new player's have a chance to beat the best now and that's what i like about this version of the game i think when the old version was still active i think the new player's would'nt even have a chance against the veterans. and i still class myself as a new player

yeah there is still a lot to learn and the only player's that have beaten me in duel's since i been back is spaniard and redbull

The duels aren't really duels anymore They are more battles with a twist.

Lod, the duels require a lot of strategic decisions, building right troops, etc. It's far from being battles, which are more tactical

They used to be a lot more about tactic then at present.
They require other tactics now than before so this is the first game I play basically and I'm learning from you, hopefully

I agree with the last comment. we used to manage ore, wood, stone, market etc. Economically, it's now very simplistic game.

that was at least half of the game and what made it interesting imo.
Whats the point with the tribute in duels? Anyone?

It makes it impossible to win one battle, then hole up and play defensively until the clock runs out. I almost lost (tied) my duel to Spaniard because I tried to do exactly that. The duel history only shows EXP but we ended on the last turn with me ahead by single digits of tribute

tribute help's you with your ranking in duel's that's about it really so the more resources you have the more chances you have of winning but then there is also the battle with your opponent bro

If I manage to kill all or most of my opponents troops I see no logic in that the game still could end up in a draw. A duel is not about holding on to mines but to kill the armies of the enemy.

You win if you eliminate your opponent, no ties involved.

But you could end up in a situation where you didn't have time to take over the castle??
