Edit -Just for the record ,my entire family have suggested it could be Fluffy the Cerberus (3 headed dog) from harry potter . This is not an official question yet . it's just to shut my famly up ..however IF the above question is 'no' then it could be an option as a final guess.AS apparently i've found out it is from Greek mythology....
