| Posted : Sunday, 20 February 2011 - 15:46 I guess it depends on the map, but usually it just becomes a maneuver exercise for me. If you come at most positions from the right direction with the right formation you can gain an advantage. The tactic that has always annoyed me is castle sitting. That is the real unfair advantage. | Posted : Monday, 21 February 2011 - 14:49 I always thought it was annoying but funny that people would castle sit. Annoying because of the extra time it takes to do nothing more than move, but funny because i would eventually trap them inside the castle and destroy them anyway. | | RUFF RYDER Joined 5/08/2008 Posts : 315

| Posted : Monday, 21 November 2011 - 06:25 Im with coopels kinda on the castle sitting, its not hard to just wait outside and bring 2/3 cats down and destroy the place, the advantage is lost when you cant create any more toops | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14357
| Posted : Monday, 21 November 2011 - 09:56 Castle sitting in battles doesn't work because the player attacking from outside can always get an advantage in ranged troops. It takes a long time, but having 3 or 4 shots on a single troop will win, just remember to come in on a corner of the castle and pick off whatever the player has left vulnerable.
Do troops in battles get a defense bonus while in the castle? Not that it really matters. | | RUFF RYDER Joined 5/08/2008 Posts : 315

| Posted : Tuesday, 1 May 2012 - 07:56 have castle slabs count up on food. more food storage with more income... its only purpose is as a counter for sieges... I.E. troops consume food in castles, and if you run out of food, any troops kept in the castle get hurt a little bit.
then, in battles, the castles come with no food, or very little. so you have no reason to stay, you're troops will just start starving.
this way, even if castle slabs don't give an advantage in battles (doesn't seem to be agreement on this with commenters, I wouldn't know, haven't played in forever), at least there will be a penalty for not moving. so things will happen faster. |
