I think it would be a good idea to have Player vs. CPU games. It would help players practice and people would always have a game to play, reguardless of who is online and willing to play.

It would be a good thing to have but i think that would involve a lot of time consuming coding, when as far as im aware Req is working on the new game.

I designed a map for a single player game. I used only what could be done with existing coding, i.e. no non-player character movement or AI needed. It was a convoluted map and the challenges grew greater as one got farther from home.

I wanted it to be a game that would be a single player challenge, in other words, you'd compete in various ways for highest scores against others who played the same map. Fastest time to a certain point, or most experience in shortest time, etc. There were opportunities for many different challenges to try to be the best at.

Unfortunately, Req didn't seem very interested in persuing that idea and it ... languished. Maybe if there was some support here in this thread that could be revived and used. I thought it would be kind of fun and be something to do with the game while you waited for a turn or whatever.

I'll see if I can dig up the map I made and show you guys.

there are programs to add BOTS or AI to a game... but in a game such as wol it would require the building of a bot... and that would take a ridiculous amount of time... it would be more complicated then building a chess program/bot...

An image of the map I was speaking about above. It's small so you can't see all the items and places on it. There is a castle and barracks so you can make new troops as you fight your way to the hinterlands.

sounds good to me two, depending on how much work it is to get it up and running i think it would be a good addition to wol

Stop adding ideas,it's a waste of time. Do not go any further, not a good idea. Besides,it will not happen. It won't work. Focus on something else. Trust me.
