When there is an enemy unit within 5 hexes, you cannot remove your own building. This effectively makes it an infinite hp wall unless you can achieve a ranged unit superiority and destroy the nearby units.

This doesn't sense. So, when there are enemy units within 5 hexes, simply allow units to attack their own building, just as they would be able to if it was an enemy building.

Of course, enemy ranged units can still attack your attacking units to defend *your* wall, but it will stop a single enemy scout and a friendly pallisade from being able to stop a large melee army equipped with battering rams.

you also cannot repair if its under attack. If someone is sitting 10 spaces away with a CAT attacking, your screwed. I think you should be able to repair your building, at least some while under attack.

well that can go both ways... why bother bringing a cat to attack a building if the person can just sit there and repair it...

Well, I guess I don't mean a full repair, but just enough to delay to try and get to the cat. Right now there is nothing you can do but just watch your castle be picked apart. I hate those cats.

The solution is to station a cat in every castle - they get excellent defence bonus from the castle if you have castle protection, so win easily in a cat-fight.

Also, invest in the building strength techs - if you get the strength of the building above 4000 there is no way a building can be destroyed in one hit from a cat.

yeah, I just figured out the building strength techs. I barracks with 8000 health may take a while to take down. Of course that woudl only be for newly built buildings. Teh ones in your castle are more than likely the original ones.

a cat was meant to destroy things... if a person techs up the building's strength...then it takes multiple attacks to destroy it... thats how things are already... so whats the problem?
