| Posted : Wednesday, 14 October 2009 - 20:44 I often listen to online radio (slacker.com) when I'm on the internet. However, whenever I click any of the game buttons on the map (Refresh, Home, Zoom, View)... my internet radio stops. This isn't a major problem or anything, but it would be nice if it didn't. | | Requiem [R]Joined 3/02/2000 Posts : 4882

| Posted : Wednesday, 14 October 2009 - 23:20 Happens on my Pandora.com radio too, when I refresh a map it pauses the station. I use a Mac Mini w/Intel, OSX 10.4.11, Firefox 3.5.3, I have a very new version of Flash player, don't know where to look for the version number in Firefox...

| Posted : Friday, 16 October 2009 - 00:27 It does this any time I have any music or sound effects playing on my computer for anything. I use a laptop, the comps at the library, the comps at the cac, and the comps at the internet cafe. I don't think it has anything to do with his computer | | Mog DoCJoined 5/02/2004 Posts : 14358

There should be a way to check to see if any sound is already playing and always assign a new sound channel for waronline sounds.

| Posted : Friday, 16 October 2009 - 14:22 Im not sure that Req will be able to fix this issue as it is a common issue with online games. whether you are using IE or any other browser. Win Media Player for some reasons has many issues with many online game sounds. We are frequently asked to fix this issue in my job but are unable too find any real fix. Sometimes closing MP then opening game then restarting MP sometimes fixs issue, we have also found that online radios are the worse for sound drop outs and also If Skype is installed on PC that can get in way as well. Maybe its because we here in NZ are the arse end of the world who knows Also you could try using a dif player. That too has had some success. |
