Here's a link to illustrate:

www.geocities.com/marsgranite/build.JPG

The hex with the *B* is the build point, the *X*s show where else the four-hex structure will be located

and the *C*s show all the hexes where the commandeer can be located to build at build point *B*.

PS:
One should also be able to determine that the commandeer can now also be able to build in other available locations around itself without having to be moved.

Klyph,
big deal ...
you're going to try to show that if you start the build two spaces from the commandeer that you can build structures all around it in one turn if you have the gold to do it;

but you can't seem to acknowledge that the important thing to know for any circumstance is where to place the commandeer so that a specific build point can be utilised.

Your explanation so far just assumes there is room for four barracks no matter where you initiate the first build, but it doesn't address a circumstance where there isn't enough room for four barracks unless you start the build from a specific location.

My explanation explains how to position the commandeer so that a *specific build point* can be utilised ...
yours doesn't.

So how did you ever figure this out since it doesn't seem to be documented anywhere?

Well I recall thinking that there had to be an answer to how to control where to build, but basicly I found the answer by trial and error and it did take about a month as I've already stated because the opportunity to build didn't used to come that often for one reason

and another help was that the marketplace used to be a six hex structure (i.e. 2x3) with the long side always getting positioned like so: \\ .

Also just seeing where the build would occur often enough in relation to where I selected to build just finally caused me to understand.

PS:

Here's the point I'm trying to make about Klyph's explanation ...
anybody can place a commandeer in the middle of an open field and just build four barracks at random where there is plenty of room like this:

www.geocities.com/marsgranite/anybodycando.JPG ;

but in order to build the same four barracks within the midst of mountains and trees where there is only just enough room, you need to know in advance where to locate the commandeer and which hexes to select as the build points:

I believe the 10 mins out of my life was much better spent than your 30 mins of horrible illustrations and confusing jargon. Here is the end result:

more pointless dialogue. WOOHOO!! At least he agrees that rex was wasting space, didn't mention anything about that. The only reason rex posted that here was to spite me. It was faulty information and a confusing, at least, diagram. Relax I am so glad you are "supposedly" back.

Folks,
Klyph made a decent help aide, but you "new guy"s might want to left click on it after you enter the link so that you can read it.

That's why your mouse pointer has a *+* on it.

PS:
Klyph has in his illustration finally called attention to where the build-point is located in relation to the four hex structure and the commandeer which is the important point that I had been stressing from the beginning of my explanation So I have no problem with it now.

I'm also happy to report that it seems to be in English without an accent.

Not sure if it was "how" or "why" Lothar, but I'm sure it had to do with a chicken and a road....

Hmmmm... still not sure what any of this has to do with strategy or tactics... or why people feel the need to attack others in posts.
