| Posted : Monday, 3 August 2009 - 11:18 Expert recruitment allows you to transfer units between two troops, even if they are of different levels. Level 1 immediately become level 10 by transferring to the higher level army. You can not recruit leveled up units.
Each army has a gold cost and a point cost. Each barrack produces a number (50 + upgrades) of build points, and as long as you have enough points and gold, you can recruit that type of troop. For example, to recruit one scout, you need 2000 gold and 50 build points.

Without Expert recruitment the stacks have to be of the same experience level.
To combine stacks you need to place them on adjacent hexs and they need to have some movement left (i.e. green or orange disc colour). You then click on one stack and then hit the "Transfer Troops" button on the right. Both stack details will come up and you can move from one stack to the other using the left / right arrows at the bottom. Stack pop numbers change accordingly.
Hope this helps. |

Don't know about the normal add two together if they're the same level though... |

| Posted : Tuesday, 4 August 2009 - 17:04 I have transferred troops between armies of different levels before and not been charged any gold, but last time I did it, it cost me money.
Does anyone know what determines whether it costs gold or not and what the rate is? |

| Posted : Tuesday, 4 August 2009 - 19:24 There was a bug for a while that let transfers happen without costs. That should be fixed now. |

| Posted : Thursday, 6 August 2009 - 17:52 Ah, then that bug must have been in effect when I was topping up my level 35 Maceman in my first post-training grounds game.
Have to say that the cost seems quite steep now, compared to the cost of buying a new level 1 unit. |

| Posted : Monday, 24 August 2009 - 22:50 Before this new system where you can only make 10pop stacks, you used to be able to make smaller stacks. You could also park units with <10pop on the rax and grow him instead of attacking. It was a common defence to pop up a bunch of small pop archer stacks, then bake them like muffins on the rax. With the new system this tech doesn't work. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 25 August 2009 - 03:48 i don't believe advanced recruitment has ever worked since i have been playing, over a year ago. Would be pretty useless even if it did work. |

| Posted : Tuesday, 25 August 2009 - 07:53 It used to be quite a good tech last time when management strategy are more important than just fighting nowadays. So...different style of play i suppose.... |
