Hi guys,

I'm right now 12 turns into my first campaign, and I think I've missed some important details (or I've fallen victim to a very crippling bug).

I can't recruit new armies!

When I click either of my barracks, I get their status with position, health and recruitment points (currently 800), and an option to remove building. I'm not getting the interface to choose and deploy armies.

I haven't been able to deploy one single army since the 12 I started with. I created an academy, and my Military status says I'm at 6/30 armies.

I have been able to deploy new armies in proving grounds and training game, so I believe I do know how it's supposed to work... but is there something that must be achieved first in campaign games? I started suspecting that recruiting was disabled for the first X amounts of turns, but my neighbour is sending advanced troops against me now (which I also haven't even been able to research - again, I figured out the researching part just fine while in PG/training game).

Thanks in advance!

that is an odd bug... or maybe something not displaying properly for you. if you've done it in proving grounds, I'm sure you know where to look.

campaigns work exactly the same... at the start, you should be able to deploy Swordsmen, Spearmen, Scouts, and Commandeers.

If you upgrade the barracks to add additional troop types, they will become options as well.

Could you post a screenshot of everything you see when you click on one of your barracks?

Thanks for the reply,

I tossed up a screenshot here:

This view here is consistent since the beginning of the campaign till now, on three different machines (all of which allows me to deploy in PG/Training Game).

You are double-clicking on the barracks?

If it is a bug, you are going to lose spectacularly, at least!

I tried single-clicking one of the barracks-hexes, and then doubleclicking the neighbouring hex... same same!

I guess I'm about to learn an important lesson about the challenges of warfaring when you're leading an infertile population of ******s. I needz more breeding women!

If you don't object, I can open that game and see if it works for me. I'd have to change your password,(and tell you what I changed it to so you could change it back). This may possibly be related to your computer or browser and having someone else look might help. I'm an administrator here, so it is a safe thing to do. What do you think?

Thanks for the offer, but at this point I've lost either way. I think I'm just gonna hope for better luck in the next campaign. If that fails, I'll probably take you up on that offer though

Hey,

Conclusion: my second campaign finally started and now everything looks as it should!

The only thing I can think of that happened differently this time was that I logged in on turn 0 when my first campaign started up (yep - that eager to try this out). Maybe this can trigger the bug?

Anyways - I won't have an infertile nation to blame for my next loss! Yay!

I hope your kingdom is fruitful and multiplies and your enemies wither away in the face of your horde...

Good luck this time!
